Have a gut feeling that Jameis Winston would actually do OK in New York. Been in the league for nine seasons, and obviously has a good arm.

Hes a gunslinger, so his Achilles heel has always been throwing too many interceptions. So he’d frustrate people, of course, and we’d lose the odd game purely because of that. But he’d be calmed by a run-first playbook and, capacity-wise, he opens up the field for us. He’s also a leader and has got a bit of New York swagger, so won’t care much about the ultra-intrusive media.

It’s often horses for courses in the NFL. I’d be tempted to call him. He could later begin to give way to Travis if the back-up works out.

Ward and Sanders will go in the top six picks (probably the top three), it leaves quite a gap before you’d expect to see the next QB. Somebody might come up the board to take Dart - who I like - but most predict he’ll be a late first rounder.

If we decide to draft a QB, he looks the most likely - or perhaps Milroe. Both decent prospects, but both passable.

If Glenn goes to the market, then Fields and Winston look the most likely stop-gaps.

I guess it all hinges on Travis Jordan’s health/fitness. I’m sure they want to look at him at some point next season. But he’s been way off a full recovery, and he hasn’t thrown a single pass as a professional yet.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Glenn goes Winston-Jordan-Taylor for next season, and turns to the 2026 draft if it fails.

Rodgers confirms he’s leaving the Jets.

What a friggin’ shitshow that was for two years. A poor decision to trade for him, made worse by his unfortunate injury and a head coach who didn’t really know much about offense (or how to appoint somebody capable of delivering a good offense).

But Rodgers was too much of a narcissist. Certainly wasn’t much of a team player (ignored voluntary training camps etc). It’s telling that, publicly, almost none of his team-mates urged him to stay.

Big Q now is do we draft a QB this year? And who starts in September?

Defence wins championships... so simple,  but so brilliant from fangio. People see the chiefs shitty o line and blitz them. Do that and kermit will pick you apart all day. 

Only ever rushed 4, leaving 7 in coverage so on the rare occasion he did have time, he had nowhere to go. Some throwaway stats yards at the end against the back ups, but 34-0 and 40-6 a much fairer reflection of the game. It was an absolute annihilation. 

Have to say, i was far more worried about the commanders than the chiefs. Theyve been getting away with it all season and if you put the two rosters down next to each other, mahomes is the only one I'd take. We're better than them everywhere. Howie Roseman is a genius and probably the best off season in history. 

And whatever footage of kermit getting burned or anything else gets shown, the party on broad street was great, with almost no trouble at all.
 

The Chiefs did the opposite as Steve Spagnuolo concentrated on stopping Saquon Barkley leaving one to one match ups deep and/or Godert being open.
When he, inevitably, called up an all out blitz Jalen Hurts just sprinted into the open field where the sateties uised to be.
