Moyes Everton

Post Massive Attack »

What a fucking car crash of a Club they have truly become. Just got knocked out the League Cup at home to Southampton, off the back of a horrific start to a new season.

Is this the season they finally go down, on the eve of going in to their new poncey Stadium next season? I do hope so.

Don't want to be the doomster, but I am very concerned about the likelihood of Moyes taking that job before Christmas and them finishing above us. It's going to happen isn't it. You know it.
I was out by a few weeks on the date he took the job. But the rest of it happened all the same.

How can such a large outlay be worth it in the long run? Especially now when gate receipts aren't even the bread and butter for PL clubs. It's TV rights and prize money.

Shame to see Goodison go, proper footballing ground gone for another sanitised shitty corporate stadium.

Can anyone name 1 case where a new stadium has had a positive effect on the atmosphere and fan base? I can’t think of one and the list is endless. Take spurs for example, they loved it first season and now they’re all moaning about how sanitised and shit it is. You can look through the leagues and same applies to all of them.

Hard to argue with that fella.
I'm sure Stockport and Doncaster can't wait to visit.

Lovely stadium and it has only cost £0.8B.

And they will rename it every couple of years.

What’s not to like?

Why so small?
Will be absolutely freezing in winter by the river (or is it a sewer?) like Craven Cottage

For the record.  The stadium is lovely but I really do not give a flying fuck about the club itself.  Bully for them for getting a lovely stadium and yes I am jealous, but what good will that do.  Other than a nice stadium the club are a bunch of scouse cunts.

people are just envious because we have to play in/attend the shittiest football stadium ever seen in top flight football.
Kenilworth road is the worst stadium ever seen in the Premiership

That's true, of course.

But if we left the London Stadium and ended up with that, I'd be fuming.

How two bob does that 'kop' look.

Not sure why it's split in two like that...would've been better with an overhanging upper tier than that abomination.

It looks decent but nowhere near as good as everyone is making out. Stands seem steep, but one end looks embarrassing small and the other is a poor man's kop end. 53k also wouldn't be big enough for us.

Like any modern stadium, they'll struggle to regularly get good atmospheres in there.

Looks nice at first glance. Compared to ours. But I can imagine it going to go the way of Manchester City. I can't see this place rocking when they are 1-0 down on a rainy (roof doesn't look like it will cover the front seats) Saturday afternoon against Southampton.

Early days. Lets see how things progress next season for both Potter and Moyes before reaching.too many conclusions.

Potter has a squad “build” to do and development as does Moyes. Might well be the season after when we see if real progress is being made or not. Everton have the PSR challenge too but Moyes squad building and development has historically been one of his weaknesses as he always insisted on scouting and approving every addition.

If Moyes had gotten us playing like he's currently got Everton doing, I'd have been happy for him to stay.

But he couldn't so I'm not.

I hated Moyes football, especially after the 3-1 win over Liverpool (or was it 3-2, I can’t remember), where form and style fell off the edge of a cliff.

I appreciate the job he did for us, but sick of his name being brought up because Everton are winning games. Good luck to them, I’ve no issue with Everton.
