I was in a band that supported them a couple of times in the mid 80s and they were really friendly and kind to us unlike some bands I could mention.
Also played a couple of gigs in a band (I am a bass player primarily) with Bob Leith in 2004. We made a pretty grooved rhythm section and are still friends.
Tim was without a doubt a genius, just gutted I didn't get to see him in person. No idea how hard it is to play along to a recorded keyboard track like the later versions of the band did, but it had to be difficult especially how complex some of the tracks were. I'd put him up there with anyone

I'd normally put up with the BBC and tune in to a couple of acts with GLASTO, but I can safety say there's not one act I'd make an effort with this year. The Prodigy, maybe, but I've seen them enough of them when I was younger and they're probably way too old now to be any good.

Stoaty me old mate, sorry to hear you're not too well but good to see you back on here.
Not many pubs left in Ilford now otherwise we could meet up for a bevy or three.

I've just found a this band called
Widetrack, great cover of Pink Floyd's 'Welcome to the Machine
It's rather jolly good.

I'm not going to post a link as it is SO far beyond NSFW I would probably be banned forever, but if you enjoy an infantile laugh (as I do), look up The Ofcom Song by Dominic Frisby on YouTube.
I know, it's not big and it's not clever...

I'm really trying to like it, couple of good songs on there but some odd stuff too. I'll keep at it, and after a few more listens it might work for me.
