Most important West Ham goals in the last 20 years?
Most important West Ham goals in the last 20 years?
Just thinking about some of the important goals scored in the last two decades and what springs to mind.
1. Bowen v Fiorentina. Obvious choice.
2. Zamora v Preston - Had he not scored that goal, who knows how we would have ended up.
3. Reid v Man United - The last game and goal at Upton Park. Monumental.
4. Vaz Te v Blackpool - Another huge goal in recent history, significant because it’s the last time we’ve had to fight for promotion, and a cup final win at Wembley.
5. Stanislas v Millwall - League Cup game, losing up until the 87th minute when he pops up and grabs the equaliser. First time we’d beaten Millwall since the late 80s/early 90s I think.
Yours?

Re: Most important West Ham goals in the last 20 years?
It was mate.
I fink we all thought it was goodnight vienna after that
I know N17 weren't as lairy after ...they knew they had to get out of dodge before they could pipe up
I fink we fluked a win at Blackburn rovers away the following week and went on a roll.
But yea. TEVEZ saved us singlehandedly.
Of course he fuckin did
It's amazing how untruths can become the truth via biased journalists/organisations on a mission to SHUT YOU DOWN.
Butch is what I call the only proper journalist...no favour..no agenda...no brown nosing .
gained trust and didn't abuse it .
just the took the footage.
Edited yes ...there was loads of it.
Brave man too ..out of his depth but marched on because he had trust in the people around him.
Rare thing that now

Remember watching the Swindon game at home on ITV I think
Was it Jim Rosenthal the studio host who said we are all wishing West Ham the best
Studio guest Mick McCarthy of Millwall obviously refused to agree
Ha ha ha

We won at Swindon the week before, 3-1.
probably the best away trip I’ve ever been on.
Portsmouth got beat that weekend so we were in poll position.
Speedie went from zero (after that Millwall game) to hero.

Ha, yeah. Dropped down from the east upper onto the chicken run, then running round the pitch like a fucking lunatic. Great day!
Also getting absolutely hammered in The Wakefield after the game. Very fucking messy.Just to think, if we’d have been turned over by Swindon away in the previous game (think they were on a decent run at the time)….

Re: Most important West Ham goals in the last 20 years?
If you read my post again, you will see that I qualified it by saying it was a game that I was actually at. Read it slowly and you may comprehend. So a goal that stopped Spurs winning the league is more important than the winner in a cup/play-off final?

Any goal against Spurs is a beautiful thing, I still love thinking about David Cross scoring 4 against them at their place. A beautiful thing.
