Absolutely. Both of them have just done their own thing with no regard to anything else and genre limitations.
It is weird how some artists just get you.
I have the same thing with authors. PG Wodehouse and Iain Banks (with or without the M).

While we're on the subject...
...Empath is my favourite album and this gig was fucking fantastic. I wasn't quite sure how he'd carry if off but left it grinning from ear to ear.

Reminds me of The Swan in Stockwell.

I seem to remember the occasional collection for 'the cause' in there many years ago. Wasn't really optional either...
There were some good late night spots around South London around the times times and the Swan was one of them.
Spent many a good night at the Caterbury Arms (RIP) in Brixton. Remember seeing Exrtreme Noise Terror and Carcass there and played there a couple of times.It was good for a post Brixton Academy gig drink or few.
There was also a "Tapas bar" in Camberwell that was good for a post pub session until 4am. They really stretched the licensing laws to the limit.
