I know we've been here before,but what we're talking about here is a made-up third tier European competition which exists solely to create a betting spectacle and the jeopardy to make it competitive is that the winner gets an automatic place in the European second tier.

So whilst the format was different, allowing us and Juventus to win it at the same time (and they count it as a Euro trophy), it boils down to the exact same thing. Take it as an accolade and you can still big up Moyes for winning us our first trophy in over 20 years instead of rewriting history to make him look better than he was.
