Moyes David Moyes

Post Ladysmith »

I see Moyes has ‘set up his team to old man’ their way through another game and get a result.

Top Top manager who should still be managing West Ham. Instead we had 2 inferior managers.

Absolute shambles!

Get your facts right before you post.
WHU had 64% possession, 4 shots on target, 3 shots wide of target and 2 corners. What's your point now?

And btw, What Russ said. Lock this shit and Good Riddance of the northern grim faced dinosaur cսnt

Interesting that the manager bounce seems to be fading fast now for Moyes.  That said, Potter has had a manager "thud" effect and might now actually be "sinking"?

Towards the end of last season, we were 2 - 0 down, at home, to the nearly relegated Burnley. It seems that not much, has changed (we got a draw). I believe Moyes was the manager then.

At least he has given Everton a managerial bounce, we haven’t had anything with Potter.

I know we've been here before, but what we're talking about here is a made-up third tier European competition which exists solely to create a betting spectacle and the jeopardy to make it competitive is that the winner gets an automatic place in the European second tier.

So whilst the format was different, allowing us and Juventus to win it at the same time (and they count it as a Euro trophy), it boils down to the exact same thing. Take it as an accolade and you can still big up Moyes for winning us our first trophy in over 20 years instead of rewriting history to make him look better than he was.

I mean exactly that, I'm not sure what you're asking me - I'm saying that they're not exactly the same thing as one has three winners and the other has one, but they're both just a means to gain entry to the second tier competition and whilst that means it isn't a great thing to win of itself, it's quite the achievement and Moyes winning it deserves credit because it was our first trophy in over 20 years and got us into more meaningful Euro competition.

But to pretend one counts and the other doesn't just to make Moyes sound like a better manager by adding another 20 years to the lack of trophies is bollocks.
I'm asking you why you claim that both West Ham and Juventus won the Europa Conference League?  Juventus did not win it or even play in it, West Ham did.  What did I miss that year?
He was talking about the year we 'won' the Intertoto Cup (which had multiple 'winners')
Thanks, apologies, I thought he was referring to the Europa Conference.  That makes sense now.

The fact that the Intertoto had more than one winner discredits his whole point in itself.

What do you mean by this?  There is only one winner each year decided in exactly the same fasion as the Europa League and the Champions League?  This may be same level as Inter-Toto but they don't have 3 winners.

Yes it's third tier in European Competition Terms but it represents an opportunity to win a European trophy and access to next level -the Europa League.
