"re: the 'decisions' issues... We've been here a few times over the last seven or eight seasons - any time any of the 'non-big-shot' sides look like encroaching on those top spots, you can guarantee they will start to get worse and worse rubs of the green. I remember a few seasons back when we looked like breaking into that top four... for about half a dozen games after that, we barely got a decision in our favour. Worse, some REALLY dodgy calls went against us too. Anyone who doesn't believe there is an element of officialdom / skullduggery going on these days is not paying attention in my view. I'm just glad I'm not ST now, it all makes me so bloody angry and that was never the original idea of turning up to support the club."

"We could have done to them what Arsenal did to us. Instead, we ease off and they end up winning. Albeit with massive help from Lady Luck (first penalty) and rubbish reffing (second penalty) - I stick my leg in front of yours when you're about to kick the ball without trying to play the ball myself, then I've fouled you, not the other way around"

"Every game we're getting two decisions going against us just to make sure. Never get the benefit of the doubt or the 50/50s. Then there's the multiple fouls on our players that go unpunished and immediate bookings for our players for the same type of offences. Been going on all year and will cost us a European place. Tell me I'm imagining it. Saying that we are a shambles at the back and can not stop making mistakes and conceding stupid goals. That is on Moyes, his choices and coaching and what he hangs his hat on."

"Its the old adage ""THE BEST FORM OF DEFENCE IS ATTACK"" Yet again Moyles wanted to put the foot off the gas . As someone commented on the BBC remarks when we were 3-1 up ""West Ham need 2 more goals to level with Man Utd in the table"" The cսnt cant focus on the bigger picture!"

"I do get what you’re saying Daveyg, but what I’m saying is that the second pen clearly shouldn’t have been awarded, it’s changed the result of the game. That wasn’t Moyes or Phillips fault."

Someone at our club must know what to do please do something. We should be in the top four with positions we were in this season

"That was moyes all over. We can blame the ref, we can blame the VAR, we can blame the weather. Fact of the matter is, Moyes in game management yet again cost us a game. He always shits the bed and rather than going for the knock out he makes us sit back, soak up pressure and a team like Newcastle will always have chances to get back into a game and they took them. This is why he needs to move on, he cannot see that our defence is shaky, so why every week is it the same tactic to soak up pressure. The subs are always the wrong choice, baring Ings against Burnley, is there another time this season that springs to mind that he has changed it and we have got a positive result."

"Smarty You can't be serious that comment.? Moyes, took off Antonio when Newcastle were buried. He just doesn't understand how to make subs. With Kudus breaking in tandem with Antonio down the left we were more likely to score than anything else. He just had to go negative. Bring on Cornet or Ings at least. Philips,as others have said dithered in getting rid. Allowing Gordon to give the ref a decision against Phillips. Moyes then brings on Johnson to run around like a headless chicken. Why Moyes couldn't see a striker was needed is worst than the penalty decision. Anyone giving Moyes an inch is deluded and hasn't a clue about football Yes you Smarty."

"I’m confused. How can the second penalty be total bollocks, corrupt refereeing/VAR, cheating from Gordon, and at the same time be all Phillips’ fault?"

"As soon as we went 3 1 up I posted something about a blueprint for the rest of the season……then we changed and sat back instead of continuing to be on the front foot. Got worse when Antonio came on and you-know-who came on. Question is: is a tiring Antonio worth keeping on for the duration to worry the defenders? If not, do you change for a not quite like-for-like with Ings or shore up and say - what we have, we hold. In this game, when he made the subs, I’m sure we could understand the logic in Moyes’ thinking. Many managers would have down the same. Problem is: we were so vulnerable at the back for much of the game….and no-one could have predicated that Phillips would have pressed the self-destruct button yet again."

"I posted on here that if we go for it we would probably lose 3-2 so not surprised. Having said that the second pen was a joke. Whilst I've not been Moyes out, he has to take responsibility for our defencive frailty , as being hard to beat h as beeing our set up for the last few years. which has given us some relative success."

Pretty sure before Phillips came on they missed two sitters from Isak and Longstaff. The problem is after Phillips came on it got worse. Just cannot see any logic whatsoever in replacing Antonio up front with Paqueta.

"A major problem/weakness is when we get a lead we cannot retain ball and close the game down. We're always clinging on to the seat of our pants. The proof of this is that when we were 3-1 up with 18 mins to go, I was extremely concerned we that we could still lose. The other issue with this of course is that it tells every other team that they've always got a chance of reversing a scoreline with us. Zouma was caught for their winner. Why was Zouma even marking their quickest player, surely Moyes would have sorted that. Although Aguerd is out of favour and Moyes wants rid, he is one of our quickest players and is our fastest defender. Season will fizzle out now. I'm not sure I'm going to bother watching the Spurs game in Tuesday. Oh well."

It was a battle of two completely inept managers Howe coming out on top due to corrupt officiating and 2 injuries that forced him into playing their best winger who always scored against us but wouldn’t of even set foot on the pitch if Howe had his way

"Regardless of what you think of Moyes, the turning point of that game was Gordon diving in front of Phillips leg for the pen (similar to the first pen). It’s a truly disgraceful decision and makes you wonder why you bother watching the game anymore. It wasn’t Phillips fault and should never have been a pen. If that pen hadn’t been given then with out a doubt we would have won the game."
