Max Kilman
This lad is a real problem.
At £40mil, it's getting to the point of worst ever signing territory. The worst crime in football is hiding, centre back is probably the one position you can half get away with it, but not for too long. Shirks taking responsibility, who imo makes him worse than Mavropanos, at least he fronts up, which can lead to mistakes. Kilman doesn't, so it doesn't get highlighted.
We've obviously got a massive overhaul in the summer, but for me, he is the biggest problem in our team and we need to cut our losses if we can. It took a while to spot, because he hides, but you can't fool people for too long. Wolves fans told us, some wouldn't have it, but they were dead right. Absolute fraud of a player.

Re: Max Kilman
He's not much better than Mavropantsos who cost £18 million. As we all know even an average player who qualifies for England always goes for double the price.
The funny thing is if old Mavro had somebody always sweeping up behind him I think he would be O.K as a forward facing defender. He always gets isolated and is the last man standing when everyone else is lagging behind on the pitch.
I'm not saying he's stellar but why is he always the one left scrabbling? It ain't all his fault.

Nope, I've seen little difference between them. Both been very underwhelming for all their promise and I dont believe they're both at the peak of their abilities, far from it in fact.

Re: Max Kilman
Kilman is a good defender for the Premier. I will agree that 40M is over priced. Having said that Durán was bought for 70M. Fucking madness!

Re: Max Kilman
Hahaha blah blah blah don’t know their football what a shit fucking insult when you have been shown up so many times. Ok so your argument isn’t the £40m it’s the way he plays. So what do you say about our attacking midfielder that has 0 assists this season? Not a major issue? I could go through alot more players.

I wouldn't class him as a success either, no. But you can see when he does play well, he's levels above Kilman. That's why Barcelona signed him, and why Juventus wanted to sign him.
One thing I'll give Kilman, he's certainly available for selection every week. Probably because he avoids any tough situations on the pitch.

Re: Max Kilman
So Todibo is also dogshit then at his valuation? Both have not performed well this season in equally piss poor showings. No one is defending how shit they've been at the heart of our defence.

Re: Max Kilman
That sounds like a load of excuse making bollocks, Attack son.
There's been a consistent mainstay at the back for us. Kilman. As for not making rash decisions, as I said, he barely makes any decisions. That's the fucking problem.

Bringing the ball out of defence in to midfield confidently starting off some attacks, winning most of his duels in the air, not making rash decisions.
One of the problems is his CH partner has regularly changed and he's not had a settled pairing. It was further complicated when Potter came in and preferring to play with 3 centre halves which also were never settled so the continuity as a Team was all over the gaff. The same thing can also be said of our new £36M officially signed Todibo who's also shown flashes of quality but nowhere near his valuation and true ability at his best.

Re: Max Kilman
I told you etc etc etc etc
Pathetic.
If any of you knew about football you wouldn’t be on here you’d be managing somewhere.

Re: Max Kilman
That's the issue here, people are giving him a pass BECAUSE he cost £40mil. He hides, hence why people who don't really know their football ignore him, hence the less mistakes are seemed to be made.
I've already said it, those who know their football, know he's the biggest problem. The worst crime in football is hiding, give me Mavropanos any day of the week over this coward, someone who will front up and and be prepared to make mistakes through bravery, not leave a 19 year old on his own to mark Mo Salah, when it's on his side. He's a ghost when it matters most.
As Manuel said, not some you want next to you in the trenches.

Re: Max Kilman
Been very disappointing and not proved his worth this season. I do think there's room to improve though as this isn't him at his best. There has been glimpses of quality but needs to find consistency.

Re: Max Kilman
Said this bloke would be a horrendous signing before he joined, along with the terrible appointment of Lopetegui, it’s going to be one of the most costly errors in our clubs history.
We can’t pay him off and I can’t think of a club that would ever consider taking him. So he’ll be our CB for years to come. Hopefully we have enough money to allow him to be 4th choice and rarely play, as if he continues to be 1st choice we are going to be continually fighting for 17th place.

Re: Max Kilman
Priorities imo although pissibly in line with a lot if others since its bleedin obvious :
whole central midfield
Another young, quick, strong striker
A better CB than Kilman and Mav
Another left back
Another keeper

Re: Max Kilman
On current form if we had straight swapped Dawson for Kilman i still wouldn't be sure who got the better deal.
He doesn't dominate enough in the air for a big man and fails to be a goal threat in the opposing box unlike Dawson who would pop up with with a few headers.
Good on the ball supposedly but doesn't seem to have the confidence to bring it out of defence possibly because he knows he hasn't got the pace to recover should he lose it.
its hard to pick any positive attributes to be honest other than there is plenty of room for improvement.

Re: Max Kilman
Kilman is in the perfect position to boss the box! Yesterday’s capitulation was down to lack of leadership on the pitch! I didn’t like that potter took of Emerson either. CB position make good captains because they can see who’s not doing their jobs and can dish out a bollocking! Which was badly needed yesterday and in several other games lately!
Re: Max Kilman
Kilman is just a victim of the club being shit at transfers.
If we had got him for 5 million nobody would be expecting any better than what we're getting and his every mistake wouldn't be getting scrutinised.
Still, he'll be happy that Sit Alf is blaming Paqueta instead!
