find it really strange how everyone hated Potter few weeks back.....results have continued to be shit but now it's Sullivan getting all the stick. 

They're both really fucking shit at their jobs. 

But Sullivan has fuck all to do with a supposed top level coach being unable to get a tune out of this group of players after months of working with them. 

But he had everything to do with
a) The appointment of Tim Steidten who assembled a squad of players without giving proper attention to the balance of that squad
b) The appointment of first Julen Lopetegui and then Graham Potter, who have both failed to live up to his expectations.
c) The fact that, because of his reputation in business and obvious lack of nous as a football club owner, it is impossible for West Ham to expect any coach with the highest credentials to consider joining the club. Hence the appointments mentioned in b) and, of course, several appointments prior to this season.

So he eventually must take responsibility for the failings of the business he runs.

I’ve never looked forward to a season less than the next one.  Potter will probably limp on for a while, and that will be a great excuse for Sullivan to keep his hand in his pockets. Potter is not even the real problem, as hapless as he looks at the moment, the midget is the common denominator in every mistake this club makes.

I don't think it's off the table that he could still go, as you say a large part will depend on how the last 4 games go, lose all or say 3 of them it might be a sit down and an amicable parting of the ways, which would finish Potter as a top level manager. All being even though he gets the summer.

When you strip it down this is just a mad, almost unheard of situation. The two choices are we sack yet another manager, meaning we move on to our 4th one in a year (and not even giving this one a window/pre-season) Or the owner keeps a manager who he doesn't rate, who has produced shocking results thus far, and backs him in the window?? The no interest comment came from one of our youth coaches that said, he wasn't interested and wanted them out on loan. If you want to argue it, go on the youtube video he said it on.

And do you have confidence that the owner, who ultimately will make the decision as to who the manager is, will employ an individual who will deliver the items on your wish list ?

When the canteen staff and all the other workers at the club lose their jobs because we are languishing in the championship or worse… i want people to have the same energy about their “mental health” too

The job of manager has serious implications for everyone involved with the club. Potter has millions in the bank and doesn’t need to work at all unlike lots of people he will effect. Also these guys get to make and destroy footballing careers. 

I give zero fucks about criticising how this man does his job.

His Agent pulled a blinder when they negotiated a 2 and a half year contract, off the back of his Chelsea failure/reward. 

Not necessarily mate.  You have to take account of the quality, or lack of it, on the opposition's negotiating team.

Like I said earlier, Potter's done Sullivan up like a kipper, and Sullivan won't risk losing face by admitting it and sacking him.

 

 

I actually think it’s the one thing Sullivan could do to redeem himself. The thing most fans would not give him any stick for at all. 

He will look like a complete dick if he’s spent a load on transfers in the summer, got rid of a load of players and is 17th at Xmas.
That would be solely his doing.
