I can see where you’re coming from, especially in the mainstream, but I’d say there are loads of great progressive rock albums being made these days. I subscribe to PROG magazine (you’re probably not too surprised to hear) and every month it inspires me to check out about 6 or 7 new albums through its articles and reviews. And the latest Hawkwind album is excellent

I was in a band that supported them in the 80s before they made it.
They were superbly prog at that point.
