Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

Post stubbo-admin »

May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.

Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?

Mount is the sort of player I dread us buying, and the sort you feel Sullivan would definitely foist on us. Who is his agent?
I couldn't believe Man U signed him actually. It seemed like a fucking stupid transfer at the time and has absolutely played out that way. 55 million quid. Yet another ten hag fuck up. You can see why they are where they are.

Mason Mount was a seriously good player a few years ago but not worth the risk now - would almost certainly be another sick note. A new midfield is absolutely crucial - in an ideal world I wouId bin off all of the current lot, but I doubt that's going to happen. I hope we're in for McAtee from City - a superb attacking midfielder, reminds me of Lanzini at his very best. Then we need a DM with pace, bite and passing vision - no idea who. Hoping Potts and/or Earthy can make it as squad players, getting time off the bench at first. I don't think either of them is quite ready to be regular first-teamers yet.

Very rarely watch any of the Youtubers these days, occasionally Hammers chat with Gonzo and Geo, maybe the pick of the bunch, but just got so sick of sensational click bait to get you to watch what was in essence a load of imaginary and speculative stuff or opinion based on very little.

Window is open in 2 sessions i see, will be interesting to see if many clubs do much business in the first half of the window, and i bet we don't, unless its returning loanees being bigged up.

Will stick my head in this thread from time to time but maybe tune out as much as i can, as its odds on going to be 90% speculative bollocks and 10% substance with any merit, let me be amongst the first though🤣 Mason Mount, he's from London, ManU are shit and a good portion of the squad is up for sale or offers invited if the "rumours" are true, he's injury prone and living off reputation from some seasons ago, so could be cheap, Sullivan will be all over it!!!!

We have been shit and they agree,
Apart from Bowen and WB there's nothing good about the team, maybe Scarles involvement but Potter won't let him attack any decent manager would have watched him and allow him to go on a run.
Chris on Bobby Moore Stand is good.

Can't stand him, a boring, humorless, smug prick. Doesn't know his West Ham history either. A month or so back he was slagging fans off for not getting behind Potter, now he's doing it himself with no trace of self awareness at all. Gary's a proper melt too.

Others that I have seen in recent times:

Mark from the West Ham Way I find alright, yes he's a bit of a fairy, but he speaks well and his vids are not too long.

I like Geo, solid bloke, knows his onions too. Gonzo is nice enough but a bit of a nob, and another that doesn't know his history.

James from E20 can be good and he makes me laugh sometimes with his ott aggression.

Nick from C&B - A strange one, can talk a lot of sense sometimes, then spouts utter shit other times.

The fat fella on the Network can be alright and does some good stuff, but well connected to the club so never going to go all in. Don't like the Jock who is on there sometimes.

WHFTV is boring now, have lost their way Nicky is good doing the fan cams, but mainly talks total bollocks in the regular vids.

Man U not fucking about with Cunha I see, nor wasting any time. Tried briefly to mess Wolves around with a silly proposal over payments but then soon stopped playing silly buggers when Wolves told them to behave.

Sullivan take fucking note.

Nick can be a bell end but I agreed with him about Moyes and Loppy. Now Potter too.
But I can't stand his love in with Paqueta,Alvarez and Emerson. All have been shIt for 18 months.
None would get into a top 6 team currently on their performances.
Yellow cards, red cards,no assists and a couple of goals between them.
We all know how shit the 3 Statues have been in midfield but those 3 are experienced internationals who provide diddly squat.

In some ways I wish there were no rumours or ITKs as it would arguably be easier to get deals done without other clubs being alerted. So I was thinking we now have a small team identifying targets which is Macaulay with a handful of data analysts and of course Potter would know. So these ITKs, Roshane Thomas, journos and this Ex fella where they getting the info ?  Agents?  Or is the Sullivan family?  Does us no favours but always been the same.  I suppose it suits Sullivan as it might generate excitement and what he really worries about which is season tickets revenue?

Yeah I like that CnB fella too. Calls a lot of it right and is also pushing the petition to get traction as well. There is generally a night and day comparison when it comes to any of these West Ham fan YouTube whatsits when compared to those on Arsenal Fan TV or the soppy Spurs wanker that do theirs.

Talking of YT, I've listened to a few things of late. Fucking hell that Gio is a miserable bloke isn't he. Constant doom and gloom and looking at the potential downside of everything.

The Bobby Moore stand is worse, he moans a lot, makes shit up and clearly hasn't got a clue what he is doing.

West Ham fan TV is the best.
I'll always have a soft spot for Claret and Booze...mostly because the bloke isn't trying to do it as a job and clearly loves the club. Doesn't run adverts. And 80% of the time my views align with him on the state of the Club.

Because everything is rosy and brilliant at the moment?

He's the only one I can stomach as he tends to see things exactly how they are.
Who said everything is rosy and brilliant?
It’s just constant negativity all the time though. Fair enough if you want to wallow I guess.

Really? There's some pretty strong competition for that title. I don't think he's even the worst we have in the team at the moment, let alone all time. This is not to say he's good. Being our best centre back at the moment is the equvialent of winning gold at the special olympics.
Out of the three CBs Kilman is the worse, Mavroricket second and Todibo the best of a very bad set

Now, if we're debating players in our squad who don't give a fuck, Todibo would be top of that list.

Clearly couldn't care less about playing for West Ham.

I think that's been more to do with us playing 8 at the back.

Would there be a worse collection of centre backs in the Premier League than Aguerd, Kilman, Todibo & Mavropanos? £120mil worth of defenders there, and I'd sooner have Dawson back on his own in a back 1 than any combination of them on the pitch.

God knows what he was thinking when he went in with his elbow like that.

I really hope the rumours about Todibo being parked here for a season are true. Cash in on him and Aguerd and get two proper defenders who want to head, tackle, mark players etc etc.

Kilman hasn't been great either but i dont see anyone wanting to sign him.
