Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?

If it was true you’d ask yourself would you pay a £15m transfer fee for Brownhill because that’s effectively what it would be.
Id be looking at other Championship midfielders anyway

If we were a bit smart, and invested for more than a year ahead, Elliot would be both sensible and smart.
He would strengthen the team and his value most like will go up.

He's more likely to try and tempt Adam Lallana out of retirement.

And Elliott would immediately fill an important role in our team, if he can play that CAM slot. But we definitely aren't getting him. No chance in hell. 40 mill is far too much for Sullivan to spend on a young player.

Onyadika has the sort of name we have to go after.   Who knows if he would be a success? What is his profile? Young, athletic, stamina, physicality but able to pass accurately and a good attitude, plays for the team not himself. Thats what we need in centre mid. In fact we need 2 one a cdm and the other able to get up and down the pitch.   We need a striker, goalkeeper and left back too but getting the 2 midfielders right will give us the biggest improvement ( bang for the buck as the Septics say ) imho
