That isn't the point being made in such simplistic terms, you twerp.
Care to comment on the environmental footprint caused by this spectacle? Is it worth further destroying the planet for all those environmentally conscious heroes to mince about in lycra to their adoring soldiers? Isn't the planet burning of more concern than that?
Also, in the name of the environment, inclusivity, and political messaging, couldn't the acts perform this 1 event for free, so the tickets were free?
The point being made was the hypocrisy of it all. But you know that.

Re: Glastonbury 2025
I am all for free speech of any kind but if Starmer and the justice system are to be taken seriously, then surely this Bob Vylan character has to serve an absolute minimum of 31 months in nick. No parole,no good behaviour, 31 months solid.
Lets see.
Lets see.

Personally I think anyone who travels from France isn’t a refugee but I think everyone knows Glastonbury is an opportunity for lots of middle class kids (& older) to display how right on they are for £300 or whatever it is these days
To each their own
Keir Starmer said Kneecap performing at Glastonbury was ‘not appropriate’ so think they are perfectly entitled to protect their livelihood by telling him to get fucked
Not sure whether you want them arrested for that

Re: Glastonbury 2025
a comment off youtube....
"There’s something exquisitely revealing—if not revolting—about the moral theatre that takes place each year at Glastonbury Festival. Here we have a congregation of the supposedly enlightened: anti-capitalist, pro-refugee, open-borders idealists swaying to the rhythms of rebellion, all while surrounded by security fences that would make a G7 summit blush.
Observe: towering barriers, wristband checkpoints, armed patrols, perimeter drones, and an entry system so tightly regulated that it would make an immigration officer look like a doorman at a children’s birthday party. All of it constructed—quite literally—to keep the wrong people out.
And who are the wrong people? The ticketless, the voiceless, the nameless—those who didn’t pay the £300 for their pass to utopia. One can’t help but marvel at the irony: a veritable fortress erected to protect a celebration of so-called openness.
These are the same people, of course, who will leave the festival and proceed to denounce any concern about national borders as bigotry. They will weep for the plight of those fleeing hardship, while having spent the weekend applauding performers in designer rags from the comfort of eco-yurts, powered by diesel generators dressed up as “sustainable tech.”
What this reveals is not simply contradiction—it is the indulgence of belief without consequence. It is the fashionable privilege of “virtue” when it costs nothing, and the swift return to tribal gatekeeping the moment it does. Their idea of equality lasts only as long as the headline act. After that, it’s back to gated communities, private education, and NIMBY politics dressed up in progressive hashtags.
The problem isn’t that they’ve built a wall. The problem is that they think only other people’s walls are immoral. "

Back in the day there was a level of respect.
Both sides knew where the line was.
Not anymore...i loved the likes of Morrissey/Smiths
and still do because they had something to say

Fuck Glastonbury. I was at London stadium for iron maiden tonight.
Good show but the stewards were somehow worse for this than our home games. Still it was nice to come out if the stadium not fucking miserable for a change

Afraid watching TV might make you catch the gay? You seem a little insecure about your sexuality.
