Re: Glastonbury 2025
Where's the best place to buy Bob Vylan and Kneecap stuff?
Given the shit they're stirring amongst the establishment, they've got to be worth at least a pony - a ton, even - in extra sales.
It'd go straight in the bin, naturally, but, money talks, eh?

As a late mate used to say "There's no such thing as shit music it's music you don't like".
I didn't see much of this years Glastonbury on the box but did see Chic and The Prodigy enjoyed both.
Over the years there have been some good acts televised some I thought I would not like you get to see some good musicians and that can change your mind.
I didn't say I don't like rock music. I said I don't like heavy metal of the Iron Maiden, Def Leppard etc genre.

Think Joly was doing it a full five to ten years before Novak. In fact Novak probably owes his early career to Trigger Happy TV but has proven himself a proper comedy actor since (Razz Prince in Phoneshop was my favourite) whereas Joly seems to be a professional nuisance/Twitter helmet/talking head on channel five Sunday night trash TV lists.

It does make me chuckle a bit when Reforms biggest advertisers are the ones that don't want them in power.

Is he the fat bloke who used to shout HELLO really REALLY loudly down an oversized mobile phone?
Good to see he's not lost his comedic touch.

You do find that when they have a tour to sell, and quite a few tickets are left.

It sells out long before anyone knows who is playing. I am reliably informed that the vast majority of punters go there now purely because they like the event. Many will choose a handful of acts to see out of the hundreds and hundreds there but some hardly see any. A few of the people my son was there with saw Biffy and that was it!
Seems to me that the music is really secondary to the event itself. It's a bit of an outlier in this respect.Possibly the stupidest thing ever written. This is like saying you can't criticise West ham because we sell out. It must mean we're fucking brilliant then. I didn't realise it worked like that. Things you fuckin learn on here.
It really isn't like saying that at all but you do your logic...

Re: Glastonbury 2025
Oh I’m livid for sure. Teetering on the edge.
it’s not everyday that you wake up to find that an irrelevant has been has used a childish insult, not realising that the insult he’s plucked out of his cerebral deep depths, is actually one that’s associated with a totally different set of people (the Irish).
That you think your post about a has been being stupid enough to pick a childish insult, that’s not even original and didn’t even dawn on him that it’s seen by most as a slur against Irish people, is going to rile anyone on here is quite tragic.
What else have you got to make us all spit our cornflakes out?

Re: Glastonbury 2025
To be fair angry potato
is an accurate description
Always think Rod Stewart is in a match off with Gerry Francis to see who blinks first in getting rid of his 70’s hairstyle
Rod has the excuse of being an active musician for his ludicrous hair
The Pimlico Plumbers guy has no such excuse

Hilarious stuff for sure, it’s surprising he’s still not as relevant and well known as he was a couple of decades ago, with this sort of quick wit and cutting insight.

Re: Glastonbury 2025
Bruce Dickinson says he'd snub Glastonbury Festival if Iron Maiden were asked to perform.
The metal legend told The i Paper: "I always said I'd turn Glastonbury down if we were ever invited. I don't want to go play in front of Gwyneth Paltrow and a perfume-infested yurt."
