Wimbledon
Off to Wimbledon today....had a look at the players/draw and hadly know a single player. No more the halcyon days of Murray, Federer, Nadal and then latterly Djokovic.
Or the good old days of Agassi, Sampras, Courier etc.
Anyway, anyone we should be looking out for?

Bit of a mongrel then
Might own a house in London but that’s as close as he gets to English

Re: Wimbledon
No one claimed he was English. He's the one that claims to be British. Whatever the mongrel is, he deserves his place in the Quarters.

No, he regards himself as British which is why he's representing Great Britain. He also happens to have Welsh and Scottish parents and has spent a fair bit of time living in the UK as well. Good luck to him and a decent achievement to get to the Mens Quarters.

Re: Wimbledon
He has had a MASSIVE stroke of luck especially as he was struggling with an elbow injury himself
To win it he is going to have to beat Shelton & then likely Djokovic followed by Alcaraz
If he can do that he will have earned it

Good to see that Cameron Norrie go through to the Quarters and watch the lanky Chilean crying his eyes out at the end to a chorus of boos.

In the 1992 Wimbledon championships Jeremy Bates made it to the 4th round, narrowly losing to Forget in 5 sets. Forget went on to lose to McEnroe in the quarter finals. McEnroe would then lose to Agassi in the semi final. Agassi went on to beat Goran Ivanisevic in the final.

Making a good fist of this Raducanu. Creating plenty of opportunities...such a shame could sneak the first set.

Re: Wimbledon
Straight sets win for Norrie
Jarry (qualifier) or Fonseca next up for him
If he gets through that likely quarter final opponent…. ALCARAZ

Court 1 has Norrie v Bellucci as the second match. Norrie the last of the British men left
This is a big chance for Raducanu. A big if she beats Sabalenka but with so many top seeds out and her that part of the draw she has a chance to win it.
