Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

Post stubbo-admin »

May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.

Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?

People shouldn’t complain about how sterile the London Stadium has made us when they make excuses for wankers who leave for Spurs.
Says the bloke who an hour ago was making excuses for Scott Parker leaving for Spurs.

You have to laugh.
Did I? Just said he did more for our club than Kudus when he just about carried us for three season during a period far, far darker than we’re in now.

You don’t think that’s true?

You have to laugh.

There's a bunch of ways to handle frustration and disappointment, one of which is lamping your boss and larping your favourite Royal Rumble moments against Spurs, personality I'd handle frustration and disappointment differently but i'm not a massive festering cսnt.

So well run that they're being booted out of the Europa League.

Can tell you're from Surrey with your love for Chelsea and Palace.

You keep saying this happened I saw no evidence of it.. How do you know this?

Also didn't he contribute massively while playing in that position the season before.

As much evidence as you have that they were the only club interested I suppose. Sounds like he also put in a transfer request, but you probably deny that, too?

Are you suggesting he didn’t have a fall out with Lopetegui and then act a cսnt last season, including getting himself banned for six games for petulant behaviour at his new employers?

Not sure what evidence you have about his character to think he hasn’t pushed for this move. Everything points to him being a huge cսnt.
Yeah cause I'm sure all the other bids that were made were kept secret and out of the media...

Oh and half the team at least fell out with floppy..

That's a lot of words to answer how do you know this, a simple 'I don't it's my guess' would have sufficed,

I'll await the next thing shit this cսnt of a chairman does and see if any of you who think it isn't him blame him, I suppose it all depends on your opinion of the player.

So what if he put in a transfer request after we gave them permission to speak to him, that just means we got to sell him because we didn't have to pay him anything... Which suited us because we needed to sell him

Ok mate. I’ve not said Sullivan isn’t to blame. I’ve questioned why we have so many soppy fans prepared to exonerate Kudus, when absolutely everything, including him and his wanky new club referencing it in his signing VT (whatever you think the authenticity of that is), points to the fact he made clear he wanted to sign for our bitter rivals. I’ve equally criticised Sullivan for doing business with them, but to lay no criticism on the player is baffling.

Anyway, we’re going in circles. People shouldn’t complain about how sterile the London Stadium has made us when they make excuses for wankers who leave for Spurs. (Generically speaking, I have no idea if you’re one of them).

Jordan Henderson 35 signing a 2 year deal at Brentford

Is that story of Spurs wanting Wharton of Palace true?
Good player & if he & Eze leave Palace will be sinking as well as being kicked out of the Europa
Wouldnt say no to Glasner if he is suitably pissed off

Kudus proved himself a massive festering cսnt long before this transfer saga.

He's good at what he does but he's a flat track bully not particularly bright or blessed with a high football IQ which is why he couldn't adapt when teams figured him out.

He didn't down tools he got frustrated because it turned out he wasn't as good as he thought he was and he was powerless to change that.

Frank will get a tune out of him if the system he employs creates space for him but if teams can still double up on him he'll flop.

I can't see him as more than an squad player used to rest the better right wingers  (they have two) or a as last 30 min sub trying to use his pace to stretch games.

With Wharton and MGW joining he won't play as an 8 or 10 and he's shit as a 9.

Farmed out on loan within 2 years.

Nope I'm condemning the cause of it all

Sell our player it was caused by him..

There's an easy to follow time line here, even for those that are a bit slow...

I don't know why you want to get sucked into an argument with mr Kappa. That's what he's angling for. Probably having a wank over the attention.

Haven't read anyone say they wish Kudus well. Most, including me, have said they hope he's a dismal failure at Spurs. No one's said they're going to clap him on his return either. It's pretty telling that it's the likes of twoleftfeet and Mad Ferret who have it in for him though.

Moyes's first full season? Went from finishing 16th the previous season, to 6th.

I could see in the last set of games that season Moyes had solved a lot of problems and we were looking pretty good tbh
We took the form the end of that season into the next. That’s why we were so strong that year.

Which is exactly why I’m so worried about this season. After watching football for so many years now it’s obvious to me that you take your form from the end of the last season into the next one. The pre-season thing seems like utter bollocks to me. The idea that you can give a coach “his own” players and a pre-season and that’s what they need to be successful is rubbish.

what they need is full competitive games! That’s when you learn the most about your team and the league and what to do.
the thing with Potter is that he’s had 6 fucking months of competitive football! No one gets that much time to practise and work out how to fix a team. It’s an eternity in football terms.

he was saved by loppys far better record in the 1st half of the season (which sounds mad) and spurs / Man U (so called big 6 teams) performing equally badly (at least spurs had an excuse).

so I’m totally worried about the next season. Nothing looks good. The only hope we have is that somehow by magic they unearth a Payet level player that drags everyone up a notch. But from a coaching point of view, I see nothing.

Besides everyone in Romford is late for everything at the moment the roads are all fucked.

We probably would have been relegated without the break... But not sure you can say the next season was due to it
The lockdown had a huge impact on results, especially regarding home advantage. For the first time us not being in a proper football stadium wasn't a hindrance, whereas the lack of crowds made things worse for other teams. It also impacted training and how players were used on the pitch. There was much less pressing and counter pressing from all teams, which suited us.

The players were naturally full of confidence going into the following season but within a couple of months of the lockdown being over everything was back to normal and we were mostly shit again.
