Gregg Wallace sacked
Millwall fan (he has a tattoo of the club crest on his chest) who can’t spell Greg
Over 50 more women came forward to complain about a man who liked to grope & take his trousers off in front of staff while not wearing pants
One woman who complained was told you are over 16 and have hardly been Jimmy Savilled
Same old bbc story. Don’t rein in the ‘talent’ while they are successful

Re: Gregg Wallace sacked
Am not a doctor but his claim that autism prevents him wearing underwear appears utterly ludicrous
Skid Mark Wallace needs to try harder
The problem with binning the new series of Masterchef is that it’s the contestants that suffer

Autism clearly make rubbish belts & braces, and a lot of other rubbish stuff I can't remember, but, Hey! Look at my impression of an elephant!!!
Re: Gregg Wallace sacked
The BBC have a dilemma whereby Wallace has become persona non grata since the filming of the next Masterchef series. The show is ready to broadcast and he, as always, features heavily in it.
This upcoming series might only be put out on iplayer.

Can't he use a variation of the I drove to County Durham or some other destination 264 miles from his home to test his eyesight defense?

It didn't appear to harm him too much and he continued to work for the BBC. I wonder why that is?
A bit like when the BBC hired Boy George for The Voice after he'd gone to jail for kidnapping and torturing a rent boy... after sacking Jason Manford from the One Show for sending a couple of flirty texts to a female fan.

No, it’s bullying of less powerful people
That is EXACTLY what it is.

My only surprise given he is a Millwall fan is that he wasn’t getting his knob out in front of men, children or farmyard animals

Re: Gregg Wallace sacked
Not sure if anyone remembers Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe but they used to have a section called "Tales from the runners" when they gave stories on celebrity behaviour on shows they worked on, The stuff on Antony Worral Thompson sounded remarkably similar

As others have said, the trouble with these situations is you get the 'talent' with the power and status who can prey on young freelancers who are just starting out, and are rightly worried about identifying themself as 'difficult', and then not getting hired again.
Somebody with even more power (the people commissioning the programmes and hiring the 'talent') need to have the balls to stand up and refuse to accept this sort of behaviour.
And then there's Wienstein...

Re: Gregg Wallace sacked
Yes , kneeing some random bloke in the bollocks is recommended
But these are situations where the ‘star’ is bullying & exploiting usually junior or lower staff members who would be disbelieved or sacked if they confronted the talent
Often freelancers who can’t afford to chuck in their job because Wallace got his knob out
He obviously carried on with this because the bbc never told him to pull his head in

Having said that, every Boomer and Gen X woman has experienced nonsense like this from socially spasticated men and our response was to tell them to bugger off. We didn't consider ourselves victims of abuse. Bit over the top, isn't it? "Oh no, I saw a man with his trousers off!" "A man made a double entendre about my breasts!" "I've been victimised!"
Many, many years ago, a bloke grabbed Mrs Bungo's arse on a crowded rush hour London underground train. She turned around and stuck her knee in his bollocks, before carrying on reading her book. Apparently the rest of the people in the carriage both laughed and clapped. Bloke slunk off at the next stop.
Ideal response in my book.
I was waiting for the "And that son is how I met your mother" twist

Re: Gregg Wallace sacked
First time I'd ever heard of this Millwall cսnt having autism. Whatever you think of him, Chris Packham, who also has autism has been great at bringing understanding to how autism affects people. He's managed to do this while holding down a steady presenting career and managed to do that without feeling the need to grope Michaela Strachan on Springwatch.
Re: Gregg Wallace sacked
Sometimes you just need to put your hands up and say "Sorry, I acted like an arsehole, I apologise to all that I have offended and hope to learn from my mistakes". Him blaming EVERYONE and EVERTHING but himself just ensures that he'll bever be given a route back into tv. and that he'll be remembered as a sex pest.

Fucking ridiculous. Just take the loss, say sorry and take responsibility for your actions.Quite. That is as low and desperate as a human can get.
As someone who is also diagnosed that pathetic excuse really boils my piss.
Yeah, it's disgusting to stigmatise all people with Autism like that. I'm sure makes things harder for those of you who have it. He should be thoroughly ashamed.
