Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

Post stubbo-admin »

May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.

Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?

You believe him! 🤣

I wouldn’t say I believe him but it is a real threat and a sobering thought. To laugh it off and dismiss it completely is an extreme reaction .  A real sign that you’re rattled. It’s ok it’s an awful reality to live under.

Turn it in ffs we've got the Politics thread for this. And I will laugh off clearly unsubstantiated alarmist bollocks when I do see it because you believe him. So if anyone's rattled because of it being called out, it's you.

You're wrong. I've heard the poison dwarf has squirreled away Club funds for years now (hence only renting a poxy Athletics Stadium for peanuts) to put towards a special R & D branch of the Club where they are currently in the process of building an AI version of Sullivan. So when he does eventually evaporate, we will still be left with an equally terrifying holographic incarnation of himself, but this time indestructible and with powers ramped up to 100 terabytes of evilness and spite towards the fanbase.

Going to be interesting watching Guessand at Villa and Jesus at Forest this season to see if we got away with one (two) or fucked up

Both of those clubs already have striking options significantly better than our first choices

I reckon theres a buyer interested and there will be no big signings or big contracts given out for the next while.
I have suspected similar for quite a while now...

Kretinsky somehow was persuaded to invest probably via a sidekick or employee looking for opportunities. He has most probably sussed out Sullivan and Brady by now and won't be subsidising his skullduggery any further.

Tripp Smith is a Yank who most certainly knows how to play financial hardball - but is also able to see what an obstruction to maximizing his investment the current setup provides. He won't be increasing his investment or providing any further constructive assistance until this changes.

As for Vanessa Gold or those acting on her behalf - she really does hold the key to what happens in the future. I don't think it follows that she is loyal to Sullivan because her old man was best pals with him. In fact, it was probably more a partnership of business convenience rather than any real affection or camerarderie between the two. That's always been my impression anyway.

Here hoping! 🤞🏻

I think you're right re the Golds.  Also Vanessa was probably never expecting to have to deal with the west ham shares and maybe a lot of decisions have had to be put on hold until both David and Jacqui's estates were settled.

Sir Alf" wrote: 05 Aug 2025, 17:10 A lot of fans possibly dont see why, even if some players secured by Sullivan via his agents turn out to be good (AWB, KWP ?),  that Sullivans whole approach is knee jerk, short term, disjointed thinking and is no way to get or sustain success for a top tier professional football club.

In the meantime, welcome to Josh Brownhill to the sound of rustling brown envelopes being exchanged in the background with Will.
A lot of fans? There is not a single fucking fan posting on here, or that I've spoken to, that doesn't know the fucking problem, Alf. A problem that none of us can do anything about in the grand scheme of things.

What some of us choose to do, is not spend our whole lives dedicated to pointing it out in every spare moment in the day, day after, day week after week, year after year, post after post.

The owner us shit, self serving, and we all know his tricks. You're not educating anyone. The only thing that's happening is some of us are choosing to at least try to give some balance to each signing on its merits, because at the end of the day, we're going to have to watch these cunts in our shirt one way or the other.

claret on my shirt" wrote: 05 Aug 2025, 19:02 Stirling stinks of Sully. If this is true anyone that watched any Arsenal games last year will know he was terrible. He has lost his pace and with it the ability to beat people.

If we are unluckily enough to get him how does he fit in? Potter is very clearly playing a 532 and Stirling does not fit that system. Not only that what would it mean for Summerville and Guilherme, they both need game time.

Lastly do we need a player that runs like Velma from Scooby Doo and is unwanted by CFC, City and Arsenal?
Even when Sterling had pace, he was still a headless chicken (albeit a quick one). Would be another albatross.

Sullivan is like the unflushable mega turd of West Ham that simply refuses to go. He continues to linger bobbing about in our Club stinking the gaff out with his deeply unpleasant stench. Incredibly revolting to deal with and is waiting for just one brave soul to reach in with a marigold so to relieve everyone suffering from any further anguish in our shithole bowl.  🪠🫲
