Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
"So today's top rumour is Steven Bergwijn from Ajax. Seeing as we only seem to get players from Ajax maybe some truth in it? ;-) If he plays wide left and for right price it might be worth a punt? Hopefully Steidten has data analysis that shows Bergwijn's value and some scouting. I know some at Spurs thought he never really got the minutes he deserved and he always played well against us ( who doesnt?). Not overly excited but like I say, he can pass and control a football ( quality technically ), if he plays wide left and it means not starting Paqueta or Fornals etc. not being played out of position and, most of all, means Soucek not starting every game, I'm in :-)"

Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
Kilman is pretty average at PL level. Seen him make plenty of mistakes. I would have thought we really need a top defender to come in if we are really going to improve defensively. You don't pay tens of millions for squad players. He does seem very much a Moyes type of player though.
Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
"I just read Antonio fell over at the training ground ( well it was described as a slip ) and now out the rest of January. Wont be seeing him cover for Kudus being away then. Think he's almost done at the top level anyway. 33? 34? year old, into Podcasting more now so best to let him go end of season? Or does he still have value as an impact sub? As a winger maybe but I suspect his ego wont let him be only a sub and he'll be off in the summer. Will we see him play for us again? Do we care? Been a decent signing overall. Moyes conversion to a striker was good for a couple of seasons but he was never really a central forward or finisher."
Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
"Was reading something the other day about a player who is / was on loan at Ipswich and he still trained with us once a week…. on that basis Orient would be a good loan for Marshall, could still be around the club and do the odd training session with the U21s."

Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
"Was reading that the club is trying to tie Callum Marshall to a long term contract and that there is interest from West Brom, Orient, Swindon & Oxford to take him on loan in January"
Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
All these transfer stories really are a drag now. I read one this morning saying that Felipe Anderson was a free agent in the summer but WH were going to step in with a low bid now because they need a right winger!!! Clearly it was completely made up bollocks because the journo really had no idea he was a record signing for us that we had sold for £4m just a few years ago. And iirc he was a right footed left winger. I've tried to find it but they have taken it down now. It just goes to show you how much of these stories are complete and utter bunkum!

"I don’t know much about Kilman. He played under Devo for Maidenhead, so maybe the great man can convince him to come. £15m plus Cresswell and Benrahma should do it."

Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
To be honest if any player is tempted by the Saudi money and wants to retire from proper football when probably at their peak ... then off you go son Have always rated Kilman..... London born to Ukranian parents and surprised he has never been in the England picture. A good age (26) & size 6ft 4 & probably a long term replacement for Zouma and his dodgy knee If we can include some unwanted players in the deal all the better

Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
Looks like our primary target is Kilman at Wolves. Initial reports were that we were hoping to swap Benny and Cresswell but Wolves had now said £40m (which to me seems correct value). Looking like the Aguerd to Saudi club may have some legs and that Moyes may be looking to free up his wages and get most of the Kilman transfer fee from sale of Aguerd. May end up offering them cash plus Benny and Cresswell. Not sure if they'll go for that but looks like Wolves are handcuffed by FFP so they may go for it. I like Aguerd. I think he's got his best football ahead of him. If we do sell him I hope Moyes doesn't regret it.

People saying about Firmino when he hasn't scored in his last 18 games in Saudi.

Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
Zouma's knee could go permanently at any point and Ogbonna is getting on so yes I'd like to replace the cover especially when we hopefully have many European games in the back half of the season Probably all the more reason to go for someone like Edwards and ease him in over time.

Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
£500k loan fee and 'easily achievable' requirements to trigger obligation to buy at around £10m which gets us our money back. REPLACEMENT?

Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
We could get Sancho in on loan and Moyes would still use Fornals over him to play on the fucking wing
Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
Sancho off on loan to Borussia with a 25m option to buy This is the sort of thing we should roll the dice on if we can move on Benrahma Bloke was / is mustard and just had a tough time

"Firmino being touted around to PL clubs. Wouldn't mind seeing him come in, 32 but he would be the best striker at the club by a country mile."
