Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
"Forget this window it's a fucking mess. If we've got to sell to buy - FUCK KNOWS how this is the case given the amount of money we've brought in recently - and nobody has shown interest in the players Moyes has basically eroded all the transfer value away (while having them all on comparatively huge wages) by now then they're unliky to. As a result forget this season, we've managed to somehow get ourselves in a decent position despite terrible performances for most of the season but we as a club seem completely oblivious to opportunities like this - we desperately need some players but will we get them? Of course not. We'll drift down the table and everyone will blame ""waaaaah AFCON"" because ONE fucking player of note went to the fucking thing. How on earth are we in this position with the money Moyes has spent? Three more years of this TOTAL SHIT."
Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
Latest wide left midfielder rumours are Jack Clarke at Sunderland and Reiss Nelson from the Arse ? Bergwijn too expensive I guess? Watched Sunderland Saturday against Barcodes and he was not one of their better players. The ex West Ham lads Ekwah and Alese were 2 of their best players on the day imo Only rumours as always but all the above are surely better than Fornals and Benrahma wide left and might mean Soucek not starting every game ? nah who am I kidding :-(

"I don't think anyone bids anywhere near what we want for Benrahma and he ends up staying. Has there been any update on the injuries we picked up at the weekend with Mavropanos, Paqueta and Bowen?"
Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
"Surfinglizard 8:24 Mon Jan 8 I agree with you about the negativity on here. That being said, no amount of minutes will turn Ings into a lone target/hold up player up top. He feeds off of chances created by others, and that also isn't happening without Paqueta or Kudus save for the lucky bounce like the opportunity he scuppered on Sunday."

Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
"I think Ings did Ok in the time he was on Sunday. And yes, I was there. If the manager gives him more game time and given the changes we are going to have to make because of injuries, we might get a tune out of him. No player can perform well if they don’t get minutes on the pitch. Give him a few games to earn his inflated salary ( not his fault and anyone would take what he was offered in his position) The amount of negative shit being trotted out in this forum is beyond belief. It’s gone from being a reasonable read to a shitty click-fest to slag everyone off with a moderate view. It used to be so much better"

"I bet he couldn't believe his luck at the wages and contract length we offered him. Complete madness, along with extending Ogbonna's and Cresswell's contracts."

"We'll, a lot of posters on here, those that apparently don't know what they're talking about unlike the paid professionals, were questioning why the fuck the club were doing signing a player that couldn't be less suited to the style of play we implement under the manager. HINDSIGHT"

Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
"Allegedly Wolves have been scared by Ings wages which, according to a well respected journo in the game, is said to be ""North of the £130k per week that Zouma is on"". Staggering, No wonder they have been scared off. But anyway, apparently they are desperate to do a deal but have said for this season it needs to be a loan and are waiting for West Ham to offer them a deal based on what part of the salary Wolves pay and what West Ham pay. So it could still be on. Otherwise we are left with a bloke that is one of our top earners who can't hit the target from 3 yards out against League 1 opposition."

fraser 12:48 Sun Jan 7 Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread I suppose if we get a player that Moyes trusts to play on the left it should improve us by default as it moves Paqueta into the middle and Soucek to his best position.. The bench.. I'm being delusional aren't I? ——————————- Yes unfortunately you are. We’re I in Moyes position I’d be thinking CB and save the money for creative players…

Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
I think it's imperative we get some kind of back up/ potential replacement for Paqueta. I doubt he'll hang around past the summer and we look abysmal without him in the team.
Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
"Can't say I remember seeing too much of Bergwijn at the time, but looking at a highlights reel from his Spurs days he seemed okay but not great. Mind you, it's hard to judge a player who was a backup to Son, who was easily the best LW in the league at the time. Bergwijn only made 25 league starts scattered across his 2 and a half years there, and only half of them were in his favoured position, so maybe he didn't get the chance to show his best form."
