Let Benny go ffs. We would be better playing with ten men than have him in the side.

If it’s Moyes making the choices fit this window there is a very high chance they will be toilet. If even Newman recommends one and Moyes goes for it then better odds. If Steidten recommending I would be more comfortable as he actually uses data analytics and factors in other variables. Moyes will have his old templates like Victor Anichebe in his mind or any old school or ex prem league player. Anyone that’s played for the Mancs or Everton also get Moyes vote

"LJC - Not a great goal record (overall) no, but he wouldn't really be here to score goals, would be more of a Antonio replacement, hold the ball up etc. Many forwards around these days playing regularly with poor goalscoring records."

Kean Is terrible. Didn’t he get two goals for Everton in about 30 games. Never lived up to his promise.

Manuel 2:17 Tue Jan 16 Agreed. He's an absolute beast. He started at Juve so has good pedigree. But only managed 16 games for them. Went back to them in 2021 and has scored 11 in 71 matches. So its not ground breaking. His best spell was at PSG in 2020. He scored 13 in 26 matches so that was an excellent return. I think on loan and see how he goes is worth a punt.

"Russ - Interesting link on Keane, a good age and decent pedigree, but I'd be on the fence with you, but might not be the worst punt in the world."

Juve are stink and need players off the book. And would Veerman be happy with a bit part.? For ever Bergkamp the dutch league produces. There are a thousand Van Hooijdonk.! Love the Dutch. But they all think they can run the show better than the person in charge. (It's the Curse of Cruyff.)

"Only things I have heard last few days is: Moise Keane coming in on loan from Juve with option to buy in summer. Apparently Moyes wants him and player wants a move to PL and London but has options from another club in Italy and a club in Spain. Juve only offering loan deal at this stage. According to a Dutch journo Moyes wants to sign Joey Veerman from PSV. Been offered new contract but has rejected it so PSV looking to cash in before player can leave for free. Not sure on Keane. He didn't look great at Everton and his overall goal record is only average. But has played at Juve and PSG. Confused by the Veerrman links. He's a pretty decent player and young. But he is a DM, so I can't see where he fits into a squad with JWP, Alvarez and Soucek."

"Added to all the reasons already listed that we won't be signing him, Frimpong is also really a wing back playing infront of a 3, a system not employed by your man, the ever rigid Moyes, Nutsack"

"Nutsin - You asked if there might be any truth that we might sign arguably the worlds best right back, who we would have to smash our transfer record for. OK hardly crime of the century, but it's just made you look a bit clueless, as he is well out of our reach for a number of reasons, even if we decided to actually sign a full back, which in itself would be a shock."

"Nutsin, apart from the source making the story worthless you should realise that to get Frimpong we'd need to break our transfer record and use all and more than we have to spend on higher priorities like CF or LW. Then there's the fact that he's wanted by the world's top clubs and will go to one of them, so wouldn't dream of coming here. It was always a non starter."

Ex is banging on about Ibrahim Osman from the Danish League. A Ghanaian who plays on the left. Everyone seems to be on board with this one. We ain’t getting Frimpong. And certainly not during this window.

Look at the source of the story about Frimpong and how it’s just his opinion on who might like him…..then stop being an over reactive yankney….

"Nagel, Relax you testy Div. We signed Brazils number 10 not so long ago and took two of Ajax’s best players. This isn’t Browns West Ham anymore. Chances are he won’t sign, although I never said he would, I simply posted an article about a player that fits the bill for what we should be looking for. But you carry on you omniscient prick!"

"Johnson needs to go either this window or next and an upgrade to Coufal is needed asap. The lack of pace at the back needs upgrading. Upgrading first team players is a bigger priority than upgrading the back ups. Zouma will need to be upgraded too. In terms of priority I would say, Upgrade Coufal Upgrade Zouma Striker Left wing Replace Cresswell. Box to box midfielder with a bit of pace. Any 2 of those this window for me at a minimum."

"Based on every site rehashing same old rumours and adding notes an other clubs now wanting same players, I would conclude we are nowhere near signing anyone and are struggling getting rid of anyone too. 15 days left. Who’s confident of anyone coming in that will strengthen us ?"

"Lee - a few variables at play so hard to say, but if a respectable offer comes in for Johnson then I see him going, then do we replace him or wing it until the summer. Bearing in mind we are also In Europe they would have to replace him surely. If Cresswell stays I don't see another LB arriving, he'll either trust Cresswell or see Scarles, Oggy and Aguerd as options there."

"That's a decent point there, Manuel. If Johnson goes, and with Kehrer now gone, we would HAVE to buy a right back to come in. Realistically, we need 2 new full backs this January, because Cresswell isn't up to it anymore."

"I get this is a rumours and gossip thread, but fuck me the perm that is Anderson and one of the best right backs in the world, come on! Any realistic targets close to joining, it's rather quiet? Seems like a few clubs want Johnson, I wonder what will triumph, a bit of dough in the kitty now or the need to keep him as the only decent back up to Coufal?"

"Nutsin 11:03 Sun Jan 14 Of course there isn't any truth to it. As if we'd have even the slightest chance of getting Frimpong. The story actually comes from some 76 year old ex-scout who lives in Norway and has been out of football for years, saying on a podcast that that he reckons Frimpong fits the profile of the sort of player that Moyes would like. Apparently shit like that is all it takes to start a transfer rumour in these days of desperate clickbait."
