Keeper positioning arguably on last goal but they should not have got the cross in. It was simply that Soucek was totally outpaced and even his sliding block too late. That same move JWP left training in the dust as whoever it was burst past him, Kilman or Aguerd? as if they were statues.  Our team is just too slow for this formation and tactics. We need 3 new central midfielders on this evidence as Paqueta is chasing shadows too.

Potter is commiting suicide.

Potters tactics have been all wrong since he arrived, they don’t work with this squad and they don’t get the most out of our best player - Bowen.

The rare times we broke away, Paq would look up only to see empty space on the wings because Diouf & AWB were too deep.

Soucek hasn’t touched the ball. JWP hasn’t done anything or been involved. Paq has tried. But Soueck
& JWP being so poor has led to Aguerd & Todibo stepping out of defence and leaving us exposed. This could of course be a part of the Potter masterplan though, but who knows?

Potter has done the impossible and made me think that Lopetegui wasnt actually as bad as I’m might have thought. He is right up there challenging Avram Grant as the very worst manager we’ve ever had.

For a second I thought Diouf might take that free and produce some magic,  but no of course not.

He aint nowhere near match fit. Mindless to chuck him in straight away with only 1 pre season game under his belt. The manager has hung him out to dry big time and pissed off Areola in the process.

And Palace have spent just £2M on 1 player and a Free transfer for another player whilst about to sell Eze to Arsenal. They hold Chelsea to a 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Yes they have a better side but Potter can't hide behind Chelseas spend. Remember, Palmer pulled up injured right at the start of the game..

1-3 down at home and we’re already playing for damage limitation.

Just standing off and letting them casually keep the ball. Fucking embarrassing.

You cannot compete with the possession tactics when the 2 pivot midfielders ( JWP and Soucek) are the slowest in the league and virtual passengers.  Paqueta is slow too and was at fault with bad control and being pressed for their 2nd. AWB caught at the back for their first and the third was Chelsea outpacing our midfield
