"Manuel - as regards replacing Kehrer, I reckon they're probably having second thoughts about letting Johnson go following a couple of decent performances from him. Shame the Bournemouth game isn't a few days earlier because with Coufal suspended it's another opportunity to have a good look at Johnson."

"Apparently Jota is meant to be mustard? In summary, maybe Pablo and Benny out the door and one left sided player in? Is anyone still waiting for us to 'replace' Kehrer, lol."

Allegedly Nordsjaelland accepted £16m but then have come back said they want £18m plus a huge sell on percentage so we've told them to do one.

I wonder if there is any truth in the Osman deal going south as I've just seen an article claiming that terms have been agreed between Jota and West Ham and Al-Ittihad have agreed to let him go. Medical is being planned. Would anyone know if it was a case of Osman AND Jota or Osman OR Jota?

"The story doing the rounds right now is that Osman is not ‚úÖ, but has collapsed because of multiple agents getting involved. Apparently some Belgian fella has been asking for millions for his part in the deal and the player's agent has filed a case to the Danish FA about it."

"Alvarez has only been subbed in matches we've already as good as won or else been replaced by an attacker late on when we've needed to chase the game, presumably on the not incorrect assumption that JWP or Soucek are more likely to provide a goal out of nowhere. In the three PL games he's missed since August we got beat 5-0 by Fulham, let Brentford put 3 past us and conceded twice to Sheff Utd, hands down the worst team in the league. Alvarez also didn't start in two of the only three cup matches we've lost so far, the other being vs Liverpool. I'm sure Moyes is clued up enough to be aware of how vital he is to the team. Although..."

"‘According to James Nursey ( with a name like that no wonder ) Moyes wants Phillips to replace Alvarez. A wind up to get us to read the article? Worked on me such is my fear of such a scenario. Apparently Moyes unhappy with all the bookings Alvarez gets. Hmmm … sounds like nonsense fortunately :-)’ Tbh, this is what I expect. JWP has played the most minutes of any player in our squad and is vital for our set pieces. Soucek is also vital to Moyes’ set up. Alvarez has been subbed quite a few times and I doubt was Moyes’ pick of player either."

"Well if there is any truth to the story that Sullivan is still wedded to his preferred agents model, which for the most part has historically been very poor value investment in players, then Steidten should hand his notice in immediately. Thats the whole point of the DOF role and you need to trust in his data analysis based assessment. The club just brought another German onboard in the scouting / recruitment dept to lead the statistical analysis too. So why undermine that with his old process which is based on agents?"

"He might be right that Osman's not good enough, or certainly not ready at least. I really can't understand why anyone would value the opinion of an agent anyway though. Not only are they not necessarily the most expert of advisers, they clearly have a vested interest in putting down players not on their client list."

Not surprised Alvarez picks up cards. The way Moyes plays deep Alvarez will be busy and will be making last ditch tackles to try and protect the defence. I'd probably be more worried if he didn't get any cards!

I don’t have issues with players getting yellow cards. It simply means they’re putting the effort in

"Whittaker's doing great at Swansea but I think we're more than covered for the left footed RW/CAM spot at the moment. We already can't seem to fit Bowen, Kudus and Paqueta in the same team without at least one of them playing out of position."

I'd be having a look at Morgan Whittaker - right wing / attacking midfielder - looks a lot better than Soucek...
