"With Dinos and Aguerd being underwhelming at best, I wouldn't have much confidence at all in CB from France for 10 mil, you can chuck in Kehrer as well."

"Yeah, because if he thought one of them players was not as good as Jota then he'd simply flog him off. We all know it's a piece of piss offloading a player on big wages any time you fancy, even if they're injured. And if you can't offload him, just buy another LW anyway, even if you have positions that are much bigger priorities. All makes perfect sense."

"Konstantinos (Kostas) Lianos @LianosKostas EXCLUSIVE West Ham are ""pushing hard"" for Le Havre ace Etienne Kinkoue ahead of Thursday's January transfer deadline day. The centre-back could cost only £10m but Eintracht Frankfurt and Red Bull Salzburg also interested #WHUFC"

"Ok, yeah, you're right. They have 5 on their books (even though I've explained why that's a flawed argument)...all of whom Postecolgu must think are better than Jota"

"I don't have any views on you, onsideman, apart from that you're being a bit thick here. What you're suggesting is about as smart as us looking to buy another left footed right winger when we already have Bowen and Kudus. I mean you already mentioned that Spurs don't have a CF and yet you think they should buy another LW so they have 5 of them on their books. Completely laughable."

"Don't let your views on me cloud your judgement Nagel, son. You're trying to convince me that if Postecoglu honestly felt that Jota would tear up the Premier League, he wouldn't be interested in taking him on loan because he has Son, Gil (who he didnt buy and who they're trying to get shot of), Richarlison (who he didn't buy and who he's been playing at centre forward because they dont have one) and Solomon who has been long term injured with no confirmed return date? Wow"

Vexed I think you’re right. I feel like Bergwyn would have been the best choice for us if we want to challenge for top 5 this year. We need someone who is at the same level as kudus/bowen etc Jota reminds me of Anderson tbh Great player but couldn’t handle the workload in our league.

Suspect Phillips will be the only signing. Jota is a risk as he lacks the physicality to succeed in the Prem in a lot of our armchair based opinions. Vexed is correct imo that if the names mentioned Bergwijn is probably the best. Strong and fast and always played ok when i saw him against us.

"How is that argument warped, onsideman? When they bought Gil he was only 20 and clearly one for the future, and they didn't have Richarlison at the time. They also recently got another LW, the Israeli International, Manor Solomon, so now have 4 LWs available to them. Apart from all that, very sound reasoning on your end, son."

"That's my thinking. They'll just want too much for him compared to what he's shown he's worth thus far Huge huge gamble for anything like what they seem to be asking, but at the right price potentially well worth a punt. (You can say that about any player though) They'd never agree, especially to us, but a loan might be interesting."

CARTERS 4:28 Tue Jan 30 Nobody hates Moyes more than me. I am at the very limit of hate technology for that prick. NASA are desperately trying to come up with ways to leverage their space travel learnings and analysing fucking moon rocks to try to even get close to the level of hatred I have achieved naturally just by watching that cսnt Moyes ruin this football club.

"Well they had Son when they bought Gil so that argument is warped... coupled with which Gil has been out on loan twice whilst at Spurs and is rumoured to be on his way out as Postecoglu doesn't fancy him. Apart from that, sound reasoning"

"It would be more odd if Postecoglu did want to buy another LW. Spurs already have one of the best in the world in Son. Richarlison plays there sometimes and they also have the young fella Bryan Gil, who's already been capped for Spain. It's probably the last position they need to strenghtnen."

"I have no idea if Jota is any good but if he is then isn't it a bit odd that someone who knows him very well, Postecoglu for example, hasn't pursued him?"

"Broja's had half a decent season at Southampton on loan. I think there's potential, but the price will never be right if Chelsea think he's worth anything near £50m."

at the start of this window i think most would have said we needed: - a centre forward - replacement for Benrahma - a number 8 who can keep the ball under pressure that's prob in order of priority as well. i'd say we've maybe covered off the third one.

"Broja has played in every one of their last 15 games (7 of them starts) so he can't be completely broken. He's only managed one single goal in all that game time though, and that was vs Preston, so maybe he is a bit."

"VEXED. Surely the issue here is why are we fuckin around with 48 hours to go before the deadline. Everyone and I mean everyone on this site knows we need a proper CF and yet here ww are with SFA. Right Back , Left side midfielder so WTF are TS and Newman doing to earn a crust? Bleeding Claret said it years ago we are Joke of a football club. Yet again we have a chance to go forward and get top 6. Not with this useless Prick of a Manager or the Poisoned Dwarf in charge. I thought you hated Moyes more than anyone............ Get in the queue Vexed. No worries, Antonio will be back in April and all will save the PD some Loot."

Saw that Chelsea are looking at offers for Broja. Worth it if the price is right? (Which I am sure it won't be even though he's likely not in their plans)

threesixty 3:23 Tue Jan 30 I dont think Osman was ever going to be one for this season which is nuts given the amount of money we're planning to spend on the cսnt and the hoops being jumped through with his two agents squabbling. Doesn't look anything special but there must be something in his numbers to have so many clubs looking at him. Jota has great stats but they were in Scotland so hard to gauge if he's really any good. Clark just looks a bit crap to me and the Tottenham connection makes him a fucking wanker. Rowe looks decent but they want to much money for him and we've left it so late in the window they probably wont sell anyway. All quite average options. I'd be back in for Bergwijn despite the disgusting Tottenham connection. We'll end up with Jota and his fucking absurd barnet and he'll warm the bench until summer.

"Mail West Ham starlet Divin Mubama is a loan target for Dutch side FC Twente but the Hammers are loathe to part with the teenager with several key forwards out injured West Ham striker Divin Mubama has attracted interest from FC Twente Enschede. The Dutch side, currently third in the Eredivisie, are keen to take Mubama on loan. Championship strugglers Sheffield Wednesday have also made enquiries but West Ham are reluctant to let the 19-year-old leave this window. Mubama has been used from the bench by manager David Moyes who wants cover for Jarrod Bowen and Danny Ings with Michail Antonio out injured. Mubama is also out of contract in the summer and West Ham have yet to agree new terms though talks are expected to take place next month. West Ham allowed Callum Marshall to join West Bromwich Albion on loan last week after he signed a new contract. Ironically, Albion had previously asked for Mubama who is understood to be open to a loan move so that he can gain more regular game time. West Ham are continuing talks with Al Ittihad over an 18-month loan deal for Jota while an opening £15million plus add-ons offer from Lyon for Said Benrahma is falling short of the club's valuation. Benrahma is also waiting to see what other offers come in. Maxwel Cornet remains a target for Nottingham Forest. West Ham talks for Nordsjaelland's Ibrahim Osman hit an impasse over their valuation but the 19-year-old is also a late option for Brighton and Brentford. The latter have seen their move for Bruges winger Antonio Nusa stall amid concerns over his medical. Brentford also hold an interest in Benrahma, as do Fulham."

He'd have been bonkers to turn down £200k a week. Has it harmed his career if he's now being linked to us? Celtic to West Ham United (via Saudi) is a massive upgrade.
