Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
Fuck me. A week ago we looked like we were getting one of Europe's brightest and most promising young RB's for good value. Now we're being flogged a 32 year old who is surplus to requirements at Marseille.

Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
"Until Sullivan and Moyes are gone and Steidten is allowed to do his job we will continue to flounder around My take ... Phillips ... good deal if he replaces Soucek Jota - doubt he is good enough The Ghanain kid ... sounds promising but expensive and the deal has become an agent infested shit show. Jonathan Rowe ... Norwich 20yo winger with 12 goals, England u21. Havent seen him but sounds the right profile. Gone cold it seems With the strikers and full backs I'm not sure the right ones are available in January. Should have been sorted in the summer No problem with Fornals and Benrahma going and Ogbonna, Antonio, Cresswell, Ings should join them in the summer Probably Zouma and his fucked knee too"

"Jaan Kenbrovin 1:51 Wed Jan 31 4 of those (5 if you include Coventry who's just left) are homegrown. So even more to worry about. There's fuck all foresight from the club, it seems."

Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
"Alan 1:18 Wed Jan 31 I can barely contain my excitement over the thought of an almost 32 year old right back joining us, that's if we can beat off Red Bull of course. We should all be tearing our hair out over the thought of yet ANOTHER transfer window closing without a striker coming in. Seems like we're all numb to it now thought."
Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
Jaan Kenbrovin 1:51 Wed Jan 31 They cant take the risk of accidentally winning something again. That creates expectation and expectation means they have to back it up by challenging for stuff or get a proper manager in. Cunts.

Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
"I don’t understand what is going on at the club. We are 6th in the league and for some reason have chosen to deliberately weaken the squad. It’s absolutely insane to let Benrahma Fornals and Cornet go as well, with seemingly no-one coming in. Even worse is the summer to come, with Phillips going back, Cresswell Antonio Ogbonna Johnson and Fabianski all out of contract, and Ings not wanted, we’ll have a squad of 11 senior players."

"LeroysBoots wrote... Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread The squad has been painfully thin all season, now they are farming our yet even more players and not replacing them Asset stripping or sheer incompetence? It's incompetence, nothing will change until Sullivan sells up. But there's no chance of that. The club is his plaything. A few weeks ago we got a massive clue what the team looks like when a certain few players are missing. We have done nothing to put this right."
Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
"Get French Football News Marseille offer Jonathan Clauss to West Ham Olympique de Marseille have called Jonathan Clauss‚Äô (31) commitment to the club into question. Les Phoc?©ens are open to a departure before the closure of the transfer window, and according to L‚Äô?âquipe, the France international has now been offered to West Ham United, through intermediaries. An undisputed starter under Gennaro Gattuso, Clauss has enjoyed a strong season with Marseille, which has not only consolidated his position as a key player at the club but also seen him earn back his position in the France squad ahead of EURO 2024. Clauss offered to West Ham and Galatasaray Clauss came off injured against AS Monaco in tears. Marseille feared the worst for their right-back, but tests have failed to show any issues. Foot Mercato report that this incident has led OM‚Äôs hierarchy to question Clauss‚Äô commitment. Les Phoc?©ens reportedly believe that their right-back is more concerned about his place in the France squad at EURO 2024 than about the trajectory of the struggling club. According to L‚Äô?âquipe, Clauss did not train with Marseille on Tuesday, with the club exploring the possibility of selling the defender. OM are leaning on intermediaries, who have offered Clauss to Galatasaray, who are looking for a replacement for Sacha Boey, and West Ham. Meanwhile, independently of the club‚Äôs attempts to sell Clauss, Les Phoc?©ens are looking to sign another right-back. Stade Rennais‚Äô Lorenz Assignon (23) has emerged as a key target, however, the player‚Äôs ‚Ǩ10m valuation has thus far proved dissuasive."

Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
"Saw a post that Jota has now been registered for his club in Saudi. Surely means going nowhere? 200k a week. Sounded bonkers from the start for a player that wont be shifting Paqueta, Bowen or Kudus out the side. Benrahma and Fornals have both had bad seasons but they are two of the same 15 players Moyes always picks. They have to be replaced if we have any chance to finish the season strongly."
Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
"Can’t quite believe what they’ve done, hope Moyes explains it rather than skate round it like usual. Absolute shit show, not sorted out one issue we had. The main issue being pace"

"grasshopper 1:36 Fri Jan 19 Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread Benrahma close What was Benrahma close to 12 days ago, I wonder?"
Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
The offer of 15m turned down for Benrahma was madness.

Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
I’m sure the German has planned for this but as always a sellers market dictates the outcome. Bottom line is no one wants to sell their better players mid season unless the fee balances out their aims for the rest of the season. Hence loans & deadwood being done….

Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
"Looks like Benny and Fornals are on the move today. Not sure where this Jota deal stands but according to socials it is still on and they are seeking a resolution on the tax matter today. So if Jota comes in and we end up replacing Fornals and Benny with Phillips and Jota then that for me is OK. Although, I still think we should have pushed for a RB in this window. Trouble again with this window is it does show a lack of planning and, frankly, total incompetence. And that is one of the frustrations for alot of people with Moyes and Sullivan. Both a pair of fucking useless cunts when it comes to transfers. And that's why people want Moyes out as we simply will not progress with him as manager. Noir will we with the poisonous dwarf at the helm."

Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
We shall revert back to these posts after we have upgraded benrahma for osman.
Re: Official Transfer rumours and gossip thread
I’ll be fuming if end up with no additional forwards. Have they learned nothing from two seasons ago when we had the opportunity to push on - when it was achingly obvious we needed another forward? We have to make hay when sunshines in order to find success. This is one of those seasons when we could finish top six while so many of big hitters are in transition. We moved to the shit stadium to push on. Pushing on is not just winning a single trophy against lower league teams. Have some ambition you cunts.
