I'm not usually one for knee jerk reactions when it comes to getting rid of managers, but what we saw yesterday was absolutely dire and proved that Forest was just a flash in the pan.

Firstly the team selection. No striker, particularly leaving out Wilson after his performance last week. Starting with both JWP and Soucek - enough has already been said about that.

But the thing that sums up the signs of a wider malaise and a frightening level of incompetence from Potter was the defending of corners. Firstly there was the complete failure of Potter himself to learn and make adjustments during the game. Secondly was the complete failure of any of the players to do the same. You could blame the players themselves for that but it has to be down to Potter.

I reckon another heavy loss against Palace and he's gone.

Paqueta up top whilst we had our best Striker at the Club on the Bench or even Bowen if needs be. 😂

After what was a decent performance and management of the game well last week, it feels like the good work has been easily undone again.

Bournemouth made these twats look like a Sunday League side in their previous fixture, yet we cave in to them piece of piss. We are just prolonging the agony whilst Mourinho remains out of a job. Classic West Ham to drag our heels risking losing the opportunity the longer it goes on...

The lunacy to reward the Chelsea failure with a lucrative 2 and a half year contract is something to behold. I won't ever be able to get my head around that moronic decision. 😲

I don’t particularly put all the blame on Potter, although he doesn’t seem to help himself at times, but the whole club from top to bottom must be absolutely dire. Look at clubs like Brentford, Brighton, Palace,Bournemouth and Fulham, they can all compete and are all classed as stable premiership clubs, and they all get half or less fans on a match day as us, so their revenue is obviously less, but they are all run a hell of a lot more competently from chairman and administration down through coaching staff, scouting network to the bloody tea lady. So what we require is for a complete overhaul to make us a professional club who should be miles better then the ones mentioned above. Basically it’s out with Sullivan/ Brady and all their mates.

Defending the near post constantly when all their corners went deep to a gaggle of free players - 13x - is a new level of “coaching” stupidity

Arguably that fluke win away at Forest was one of the worst things to happen to us as it reset the clock to pathetic Potters dismissal back to 6 games. So we are stuck with the useless, pathetic fraud for a while longer.

Yes, the board's MO is to come out and say they don't sack managers lightly and back them. Then after 3 games without a win the propaganda will change to the old 3 games to save his job.

A functioning, competent board would sack the loser now and try to get someone like Nuno or Mourinho in (if it has to be an out of work manager as is their MO).

Sullivan is leading the club to a second relegation in his tenure, despite Baroness Botox crowing pre-season about what a marvelous achievement it is just to be in the top flight for a 14th consecutive season.

I’m convinced now that he’s staying right up to the point where he relegates us
of all the incompetent shit that Sullivan has done, hiring this clown and keeping him in a job has got to be the worst
no human being with the slightest idea about football would select Hermansen or Ward-Prowse to start the next game, but I’d bet my house, clueless bollocks will have them down as the first names on the team sheet

I normally hate international breaks, but thank god there's another one coming up pretty soon.  It'll give Sullivan another opportunity to take stock of the situation, not that I think he's gonna get rid of him.

The only positive I could say about Potter last season, is that we always looked like we were in the game regardless of if we were being beaten.

The season, we've been tonked by all but 1 team we've played so far,

According to Sky Sports Potter said post match we defended the corners well.
He must be looking for Sullivan to get rid making statements like that.

Say what you like about that fucking poundshop Stalin cսnt (and we've all got a gut full of bile there) but he didn't choose to play Mr Opta stats 100% pass completed 2 yards sideways Prouse-Ward, did he? Nope, that's all down to Potter. As others have said, playing him and Tom in midfield is asking for trouble.

I think Potter is the only person in the stadium who can't see that. There was a really embarrassing bit in the second half when he clapped our play and in the silence it echoed clearly around the stadium.

'Judge me next season' he said.

It's such a shame, I always want a new manager to do well and he's no exception. He's NOT a new manager now though. We can't do basic defending, particularly at corners, a static midfield and two forwards who end up as defenders.

I did a quick vox pop around me at half time, asking fellow season ticket holders if they enjoyed themselves anymore and to a man they said no. A couple were weighing up whether to renew this season and only caved in last minute and LOADS of people who have sat around me for the last few years didn't.

It doesn't feel like my club anymore, it certainly doesn't feel like our stadium. I couldn't really give a fuck if ANOTHER tourist took my seat.

I give up on Potter and his 'entertaining football' but I struggle to think who could turn this shitty basket case of a club around. Thanks Sullivan.

Sullivan virtue signals that he wont pay for managers or excessive agent fees like he’s some kind of moral crusader.  He has only got one manager in that saw some success for 18 minths and that was a happy accident with Moyes second time around. He was brought in to keep us up and he got lucky for a little while.

The protests have to be relentless. He has to step away from any day to day running of the club like Kretinsky and the rest of the board. But he wont because he and his sons have nothing to do with their lives, no purpose and he’s planning to have his idiot sons takeover.

We are fvcking doomed with the curse of the Sullivans.  The squad is still half baked. We still need a better CB, anotyer forward and another central midfielder even with the new geezers.  We are still too slow so starting Soucek and KWP, the slowest players in the league, is always a risk.

shell out £30 million to Iraola. But he wont. Welcome Shaun Dyche or Nuno and Moyesball again

Ron Eff wrote: 13 Sep 2025, 19:09 Why does it have to be an out of job manager? Show some ambition and pay up for someone like Iraola. Don’t give me “why would he leave Bournemouth”. It’s fucking Bournemouth. 12k fans every week.

There are plenty of others too. Just employ someone who looks beyond of his fucking nose to scout a new manager armed with some cash to buy him out of his release clause. It can’t be hard.
Why? Because our owners DONT pay for managers.

The manager has to be out of a job to make it onto Sullivan list.

Fucking useless we play without a striker when Wilson would cause them problems. Wilson is as likely to get injured in training as in the pitch so why not play him ?
Can see Nuno coming in. It would be an improvement how can it not be?

We have two new mobile central midfielders. He played one on the right and one on the bench. Soucek is too slow and his sending off was down to that. Criminal after that that potter didn’t instantly reorganise from sidelines and soucek’s man nodded in the killer goal. Potter is a total fraud

On the sending off: "I don't think there was intent from Tomas [Soucek] and there wasn't a lot of speed in it but when you go with your studs raised you've got a problem."
Well exactly, Soucek dosen't really do 'speed'. That's probably why he was tempted into making the lunge in the first place.

West Ham manager Graham Potter, speaking to BBC MOTD: "The first half was a positive performance for us. We connected well as a team and attacked well.

"We were incredibly committed and together as a team so it was disappointing the second half panned out the way it did. We had the red card after conceding and were quickly 2-0 down and it got away from us."

We made a mistake for the first goal and they executed it well - we should do better. We had a good reaction, Jarrod [Bowen] had a shot but it became uncomfortable after the red card."

On the sending off: "I don't think there was intent from Tomas [Soucek] and there wasn't a lot of speed in it but when you go with your studs raised you've got a problem."

But who will replace him?

I'm sure there are (plenty of) managers around who feel they can get a tune out of our current squad, but not with Sullivan sticking his fucking oar in every 90 seconds.

Indeed. Two big home games coming up against Tottenham and Crystal Palace. I wouldn't be surprised if we lose both of them.

The Forest win has bought him time though, so it reverts back to him needing to win only one of the next six games to keep his job.
See this.
