"Yeah, I agree with you, Manuel. But Sullivan has only sacked two managers in mid-season and both times he replaced them with Moyes. You'd imagine that they have a shortlist of possible future replacements, but how many of them are available right now? At this stage of the season you can't really poach managers from elsewhere so your only option is someone currently unemployed. You would hope that any new manager appointment will be one that they want to plan a long term future around, rather than just whoever's available right now. That's how we got lumbered with Moyes in the first place."

"But we can qualify for Europe through the league, it could go down to 8th this season, no way we should just be writing that off at this point."

"I imagine that from Sullivan's point of view the league doesn't matter too much as we won't qualify for Europe and won't get relegated either. So the important thing now is the Europa League and what better manager to have than one who won a European trophy last season, with much the same team. I don't agree with it, but that's how I reckon Sullivan sees it. Also, unless he's gung-ho about getting in one of the currently unemployed managers, which I doubt, then he'd need to put a caretaker in charge, and he probably thinks Moyes has a better chance of winning the Europa than Heitinga or Nolan or whoever."

"I read/heard a comment the other day, nothing complicated, ''we're now playing like it's the knockings of the season with nothing to play for and we're on the beach'' thought it summed it up perfectly. My angst has deflected onto to Sullivan now, absolute fucking coward and in contempt at this point, it's clear to everyone that Moyes is done, yet with a fair chunk of the season left still and things to play for he's still fucking here."

"I don't think much revision has to be done for playing us at the moment. I'm just glad we've got almost 40 points now, as I can't see us picking up many more over this season."

"Happy to be proved wrong, but does anyone, including the board, Moyes and the players, expect to see anything different here? If we were going to see a reaction it would have been at Forest. I can only see Frank doing his homework on us and them picking us off. 0-2"

They will time waste and keep going down injured to break up any play we have just as they did against City and in the game against us. They will then score either Toney or Wissa.

I guess the good news is that Phillips cannot possibly fuck this one up for us. I don't see us threatening their goal unless Paqueta is back and that doesn't sound very likely.

Another loss if Paqueta is still out. Draw if he's fit.

Toney must be terrified of facing our 8 man defense.

"When I watched the Forest game I, like others no doubt, was conflicted. On one hand, I had the usual stresses and frustrations as I willed us to start playing well and our better players returning to form but as the game progressed and you could see we had no idea how to ioen Forest up and were still unable to dominate possession, rolling it side to side, not enough movement. hitting long diagonals etc in some half baked attempt by Moyes to be more progressive, my mind thought its game one of Moyes supposed 4 game “turn it around test” and for the longer term good I thought its best that Forest win the game rather than us scrape a draw or one of our pre xmas “smash and grab” wins. Same applies again on Monday. I will be naturally looking for some epihany from Moyes and “sea change”’in approach, selections, approach but soon realise he simply knows no other way as it will either be tge same half arsed attempt at keeping possession but with zero cutting edge just waiting for us to make a rickett in defence etc. For the longer term good we need Moyes to lose or at best draw this game undeservedly. Because we win and Sullivan will cancel the whole Moyes 4 game thing and also totally ignore all 2024 results and defeats as if they never happpened. This will then potentially lead to Steidten and our better players buggering off"

"I have had enough. Brentford, please put us out of our misery. I actually do work while watching games now. I think the most meaningful goal attempt against Forest was an Aguerd shot from distance .... that looked like a pass back to their goalkeeper. I can't watch another 100 minutes of that."
