Odds slashed from 5/1 to 7/2.

Watch this space.

I think we're fucked.

We really don’t know how much say Nuno has had in his back room staff, which is a problem. Especially if it’s Sullivan’s cheapness which meant a huge half measure. We all know how important that staff is.

Whats remarkable is how we went down with those players! Fucking Glenn Roeder!!! Should have been push for champions league not relegation. Another terrible appointment.
Especially after finishing 7th the previous season.  Like him or loathe him it also shows how good Harry was at man management in many ways, on how he dealt with Di Canio.  It also shows the value of getting your backroom team right, which is something I think Nuno has got wrong.  Roeder had Paul Goddard as his Assistant and as good a player Sarge was he had no real experience as far as I know in coaching and didn't do an awful lot after.  He always reminded me a bit of Phil Neal at Graham Taylor's side, a bit of a nodding dog.

Yeah. Weird that Cole, Carrick, Defoe, Johnson, Kanoute and DiCanio managed to achieve anything at all in their careers post 2003 when you think about it 🙄
Fair point, but they did all fly the nest to pastures green and were far better players. Would have been interesting to see how they would have done if one club had bought all of them!

Well we all know how this season is going to end up don't we?! We go down bottom and Millwall end up winning the play off final.
I have dreaded this scenario all season long. It would be the ultimate embarrassment to go down and for them to go up and be a division above us.

Well they are playing OK, their league position suggest that. Play offs as we know are a lottery, a lottery they could end up winning!

I don't know how they do it. They literally don't have a pot to piss in. The fact they have been thereabouts more often than not in recent years is some achievement. A shoestring budget is being generous. Who's scouting players for them?

Normally, I dont care going down, but this time I do. We have the bones of a very good young side. Some of those younger players have international careers to think about, so playing in the second division (Championship) wont be for them. Sullivan has no sentiment for the club, just his wallet

We will obviously lose on Tuesday, but Dysche isn't that great a manager. Forest will stay up due to our ineptitude, rather than Dysche's skill. It was only last January he was sacked by Everon, 1 point above the relegation zone, after 3 wins in 19 matches. Moyes, with conspicous ease, took  those same players to safety and with some summer 2025 additions has maintained them in mid table.
Mate, I’m not saying Dyche is anything special in fact he’s not much at all, merely pointing out he’s a lot more passionate than our clown who spent his last 45 minutes sitting with his arms crossed, only getting up in the last minute to scratch his arse and fuck off down the tunnel.
Is his passion working?
Better than Nuno’s, grow up.

Forest is last chance saloon for me. Fail to win that and we are effectively done and can start preparing for the Championship.

Win it and we are only one point behind them, albeit with an inferior goal difference, with 17 games to go.

Sorry Fortunes I know its obsessive but again I see its still part of the problem. Improved but still there. Potts, Fernandes, Magassa while so much better than Soucek, Guido, JWP and Irvine as options, Im thinking Potts and Magassa a bit too similar and Magassa slightly quicker but any combination not compensating for a player who covers the ground like Rice.  We need another player in there who battles, runs all day. Villa yesterday, Kamars did not stop and was everywhere and so strong, Rodgers and Mcginn too. Our lot seem eecond to everything and sometimes too lightweight.

Although I do obviously realise that CB area is the priority now we have got some forwards, Ive alwsys believed a strong midfield is key since most of the game is played there.

Btw, my obsession for pace goes back before Rice. I can remember discussing it in the days if Kovac and Konnate.  I will seek help but fear Im incurable 🥴

based on what, exactly?  I'm looking at the last 3 games and see no hope. I'm looking at the way we strolled to defeat in a must win game and see no hope.   We signed a striker in time for Wolves and didn't play him.  Club is rotten to the core.

Ferret ever the contrarian or less kind just obtuse? 😉

To be fair to you, transfers in are the only factor in all this that that could / might be a positive. But its a slim chance. We are paying for potential wiyh this Pablo geezer, the lad from Lazio is not a goalscorer more of an assist man which might help but he wont get the time and space of Seria A. Mctominay is a superstar there but  was just a decent, above average Prem player. Id take that though currently.

The real issues now are defending. CBs mostly but yesterday was alarming as it also, for me, exposed the ongoing lack of pace and pressing. Ok Nuno or Robdon does not coach us to press but the space Wolves had with their runners from midfield was criminal. Factor in the ineptitude or limitations of the CBs and edpecially Kilman who is just too slow in thinking and movement, and I cannot see any game where we wont concede.

Forest play deep block and fast counter like is but have players better suited to it. They are not great but by sitting deep in numbers will draw us onto them and yhen counter to exploit the space we leave.

Rice used to rescue us so many times and we just gave not replaced him. Potts and Magassa are decent squad men, technically good bit both half a yard short to be like Rice was.

Miracle needed hence highly unlikely we survive

Fed up of pretty much everything to do with this club, and that’s after over 50 years of supporting them. Sullivan and Brady have spent since 93 perfecting their grift and unfortunately for us it’s the only thing the failures are good at.

The manner of the defeat was one that you just don’t get angry about. I got angry about the Fulham one because it was a late single goal but this one it was clear we were on for a heavy defeat from the 5 minute mark. You just switch off and stop caring. Like a self protection mechanism.
