The Japan boys were mates of mine in 78/79. I wasn’t keen on their music but they were lovely blokes. Had some good laughs.

As musicians I think they were massively underrated. I think Gentlemen Take Polaroids is one of the best albums ever made.

Can't decide whether or not  to go and see them live. For a few years I've been trying to go and see acts/bands that I would never have thought of seeing in my 'only rock or metal' days (decades), and Kraftwerk definitely fall outside that, but I am worried that it could be the dullest thing ever?

Whayoufink?
I saw them at the Royal Festival Hall back in 2004, was a brilliant show with the visuals and of course the music. I think you might struggle a bit of you aint a fan though, or at least half clued up with the songs they play.

I was a big fan and saw them a few times, I got an album signed once and  in spite of the  makeup and hair, I was a bit surprised how bloke-y and normal they were. Mick was such a great bass player.
