Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur all agree to plan. Five English clubs are among 11 European teams who have signed up to a breakaway Super League in an extraordinary development on the eve of Uefa's announcement of a new Champions League format. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/18/sports/soccer/super-league-united-liverpool-juventus-madrid.html"

I’m definitely in favour of Tottenham losing every game they play
Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund have said they and German rivals Bayern Munich both rejected proposals to form a breakaway league. In a statement on Monday, Dortmund chairman Hans-Joachim Watzke said that the members of the European Club Association (ECA) had met on Sunday evening and expressed ""a clear opinion to reject the foundation of a Super League"". He added that the two German clubs on the ECA board, Bayern and Dortmund, had taken ""100 percent"" the same position ""in all discussions""."

"dealcanvey 1:10 Mon Apr 19 Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !! From the madness of the online reporting it seems they will be fucked out of all FIFA and UEFA sanctioned setups. So they'll only have their ""Super League"" But with 3 billion will they give a fuck ?"

"So these clubs, who constantly moan about fixture pile up, now plan to pay 20 games in a European Super League aswell as play in a domestic league with cups? How is that possible."

"I'm loving this. Football at the top/rich level is beginning to cannabalise its market. The sooner all of the 'elite' clubs owned by greedy cunts and supported by glory hunting, plastic cunts fuck off the better, as it will make it a more level playing field for the domestic leagues. Bring it on, I say."

Jose has gone up massively in my estimation. I hope this all goes ahead and the lot of them get booted out. Football will be much more enjoyable

My money would be on a Klopp x Touchel double for the next to go
Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"As much as a relegation battle , as we all know, is nerve wracking enough it is exciting and must watch. How often have we been in mid table with nothing to play for and you don't get on the telly for that! Same with European Qualification, it gives clubs something to aim for. With no qualification to something better and no relegation the Super League would be pointless bar for the clubs who might win it. With 7 or 8 games to go most of the clubs may be just going through the motions which surely will be boring for both players and fans."

"Side of Ham 12:15 Mon Apr 19 Which beggars belief as to why Arsenal and Spurs are included. 4 years in the Middle East and 14 before that in SE Asia and the ONLY fans of these clubs I ever met were other ex-pats. Not a single local. Ever. As for merchandise - everyone I met in SE Asia sporting a PL top was wearing a moody copy, not the ""Real thing"", meaning absolutely zero going back to the clubs on that front."

"One of the things that has happened in the tech industries but not exclusive to it is you get massive amounts of investor money to make you so dominant its extremely hard for any other business to compete. Not impossible but it removes most of the competitive threat. This feels a lot like that. Up the numbers massively. Get Amazon streaming the games Worldwide, makes the deal nice and simple ( but huge )."
Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"The Premier league, uefa and fifa should tell them to fuck off into their pissy little league then and expell them and their players from any fa, uefa and fififa competition. They won't. They'll buckle, give in to demands, make a further mockery of the Competitions and football will continue to go down the toilet. In a couple of years they'll make new demands and keep getting what they want. They need to take a stand now. Of they have signed an intent form they are In breach and the book should be hurled at them. Utter cunts. I hope they do fuck off."
