Football Super league rumours yet again !!

Post ted fenton »

"Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur all agree to plan. Five English clubs are among 11 European teams who have signed up to a breakaway Super League in an extraordinary development on the eve of Uefa's announcement of a new Champions League format. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/18/sports/soccer/super-league-united-liverpool-juventus-madrid.html"

"Block 3:17 Mon Apr 19 Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !! Here you go, Peroni https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-9486681/European-Super-League-clubs-WIN-court-case-brought-UEFA-FIFA-says-legal-expert.html This argument seems completely flawed as they are not making a competition to rival the Champions league as it’s a closed shop, so surely the prem and champions league could make a closed shop that doesn’t involve these 12 clubs"

"Have the PL/FA released an official comment on this yet? They've had long enough to go through their rule-books and state where they stand on this. Oh, and the PFA statement earlier was a pageful of words that said the square root of sweet fuck all - uncommitted woke at it's finest."

"The best thing about Gary Neville’s rant is how he absolutely put down Spurs. He was seething about Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal. Man City and Chelsea were new money. Tottenham? Not bothered about them."

Not a chance that Klopp statement is legit - it would be on headline news if it was.

tariq panja @tariqpanja ¬? 1h UEFA stance not softening overnight. The breakaway clubs will face expulsion from next season's Champions League even if their own Super League isn't in place to start in August. Hard to invite the arsonist threatening to burn your house down over for dinner I guess. IRONS

"Jose apparently refused to take training today, as he was unaware of the ESL situation, which is the reason he's been sacked. Isn't 100%, but a lot of chatter about it."

JPM has probably recently been identified as the last registered owner of a serious amount of Nazi loot that it needs to quickly launder. What better place than the biggest game in the world?

"Could this impact player contracts? Could Harry Kane for example be contracted to play for Spurs in the Premier League, League Cup, FA Cup, Europa League and arranged friendly matches and with the Super League falling outside of that?"

"This needs a good journo. Fund the JPM investment banker who is running with this. Big headline ‘the man who wants to buy football’, his picture underneath, picture of his car, his (no doubt) Kensington house, his wife, the private school his kids go, pictures of him with Some Tory politician. Two weeks later run pictures of is girlfriend (there will be one) side by side with pictures of wife. If the News of the World was still around you could probably get pictures of him at the Stratford Sauna."
