"The one group who could stop this in it's tracks is the broadcasters., If Sky, Amazon, BT, Netflix et all stated categorically that they were in now way going to be involved with the Super League then without any broadcaster of games the thing would fall flat on it's face. It's all very well though for Sky to have the likes of Neville and Carragher damning it, and putting out a brief statement from Sky themselves but that means nothing of course when it comes to money. You would also have to think that the breakaway Clubs wouldn't be outlining their intent without themselves having guarantees from broadcasters who will be contracted to broadcast the thing.
