Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur all agree to plan. Five English clubs are among 11 European teams who have signed up to a breakaway Super League in an extraordinary development on the eve of Uefa's announcement of a new Champions League format. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/18/sports/soccer/super-league-united-liverpool-juventus-madrid.html"

"zico 12:21 Wed Apr 21 I am completely shocked how such a group of people, which such wealth and connections can fuck something like this up so completely. This was billed as a powerplay, and they couldnt even hold it together for two days before someone shit the bed. I think it is fucking brilliant, these clubs have basically thrown away and position of strength and bent over."
Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"Shows how some owners just live in a parallel universe to everyone else. They have totally and utterly misjudged the mood on this. They must have naively thought the fans, players and managers would just go along with it. The Premier League needs to make major rule changes for future situations like this. It has to be written in black and white what will happen to clubs who try and do this again. There needs to be rules created on owners. Surely some sort of owners charter must be agreed to. And player wages need to be looked at as wages are the main reason clubs are so heavily in debt."

The stinking corrupt Prem punishing two of their gems? I can't see it.
Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"These wankers will get away with this, just watch. A slap on the wrist. If that."
Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
Jasnik 11:49 Tue Apr 20 He was probably under the impression that the other clubs were as self serving and venal as his. Must be a crushing disappointment the poor lamb.
Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
Takashi Miike 11:45 Tue Apr 20 Agree. The 6 are now at the the mercy of whatever UEFA and the EPL decide to throw at them and are utterly powerless to do anything about it. This could be fun.

"points deductions are the only punishment that will hurt these cunts, fines are meaningless"
Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"The punishment has to be financial its the only way to hurt those responsible for this facade. A years ban from European Comps for a season. They were prepared to walk away anyway. You cant let them off so easily, they were happy to throw our league under a bus without hesitation, it has to come with circumstances"

Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"This should'nt be whitewashed, there is only one reason why this has all gone wonky and its fuck all to do with integrity or love of the game. If the backlash over this were not so ferocious then the clubs involved would be ploughing on, full steam ahead into a land of untold riches. City and Chelsea get no sympathy at all from me,if they were that reluctant to join then they would have said thanks but no thanks when approached. That cսnt Levy must be suicidal right now,he's had his get out of jail card to pay off the stadium debt snatched out of his mitts."

Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"By all accounts, Chelsea and Man City weren't the drivers of this and just shit themselves about being left behind and jumped shipped. They should still be punished, but perhaps I wouldn't throw the book at them compared to the others."

"""Barca and Madrid are the two clubs most desperate for this as they are in real financial trouble."" of course they are. they're paying that dwarf cսnt alone over ‚Ǩ160m a year, it's madness. as much people are going crazy about these club owners, they'd be no need for a super league if the players & agents weren't bleeding the sport dry with their ridiculous demands for average returns"

Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"Won't be long, as in tomorrow, when the weasley cunts will be saying ""we would like to put this whole sorry episode behind us now and concentrate on what we all want, football"" Self serving, entitled prices. I won't hold my breath but these cunts should be deducted points, something to actually you know seem like a punishment, fat chance"
Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
They still signed a letter of intent and have broken rules and still need to be punished irrespective of them pulling out now
Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
Arsenal pulling out now. Finally Spurs are in a league of their own!
