Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur all agree to plan. Five English clubs are among 11 European teams who have signed up to a breakaway Super League in an extraordinary development on the eve of Uefa's announcement of a new Champions League format. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/18/sports/soccer/super-league-united-liverpool-juventus-madrid.html"

"Would imagine some of the 9 clubs who have pulled out will also be a bit pissed off, especially with Real, Juve and Barca (And Man U perhaps) now its come to light (According to leaked documents published by German outlet Der Spiegel) that this super league these 3 (4) were instrimental in setting up with their fellow ""big club"" mates has actaully got a payment tier system in it, that sees some clubs (biggest) getting more of the money than the others regardles of finish, giving them more spending power to keep them at the top. Cunty all round."

The owners will pay then claim it back as a genuine business cost against tax. Utter madness. Their income streams should have taken a severe hit for at least a decade.

Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"Seems even if this super league got under way it was unfair on some of the clubs, well all of them except 2! (Real Madrid and Barcelona) they would get 52 million more than the others...... Also be interesting to see if this affects the transfer market, as if the 9 who left the SL have to pay the 130m exit fee, or at least be in legal disputes so as not to pay it for while, could see a fair bit of talent looking at other options than the usual suspects, could help us perhaps? https://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/man-utd/european-super-league/news/super-league-clubs-face-gbp130m-withdrawal-fee_444630.html"

"As expected not even a slap on the wrist as long as they promise to never , ever , wever do it again. Cross your heart & hope to die Pitiful and entirely expected"
Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"I completely misread that as a 13 million pound fine each, which I thought was still quite a soft penalty!"
Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
Thirteen million pound fine for the owners of the clubs and 5% of their income from European football in 2013-14. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/57031372

Wouldn't surprise me if they're still debating whether or not what the Splitter Six did was a punishable event.

With the money the PL is going to save on parachute payments this season no doubt someone is looking to see if the money could be given to the top 6 as ‘loyalty payments’!

"You can bet your bottom dollar if ‘lesser’ clubs had done this, the punishment fine whatever would be out there by now. A fine would take the Spanish clubs even closer to the brink. Hefty points deductions here may mean most of the ‘big 6’ don’t qualify for the CL next season, and we couldn’t have that could we! Whatever the decision if any, we know it’s likely to be the wrong one because where ever you look in football, the game’s fucked. Doesn’t matter if it’s VAR or other things, the decision makers just ain’t up to it and are on a different level to the fans."

And the politicians will wait for the football authorities. All that is happening at the moment is that large Harrods hampers are being delivered to the decision makers and influencers with large envelopes of cash under the Bolli.

"I really don't know why they are so scared of these fucking 6 clubs. They have already proved how shit scared they are of not being in the Premier league. 2 year transfer embargo, points deduction and 100n fine for each one. Rule change as same as the Italians. Do it now show some teeth or they will do it again next year"
