Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur all agree to plan. Five English clubs are among 11 European teams who have signed up to a breakaway Super League in an extraordinary development on the eve of Uefa's announcement of a new Champions League format. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/18/sports/soccer/super-league-united-liverpool-juventus-madrid.html"

"I don't miss any additional tax that I pay by deploying an umbrella company to provide me this service rather than an accountant, plus any additional tax I pay goes towards funding vital services like the NHS and education. Gutted, son?"
Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"It just shows how idiotic you are. You can pay an accountant to do it for you for much, much less. You don't ""consult"", at all."

"Umbrella companies are perfectly legal and a perfectly legal way for high income contractors/ self-employed folk like myself to efficiently arrange their tax affairs. They charge me a small margin for handling all of my tax affairs for me so I have no issues with them, as they save me a lot of admin and hassle and allow me to get on with the job I get (highly) paid to do by the multinational I consult with."

"Block, You have to do your research and find one that you are comfortable with. For me the costs and final salary offered by the ones allowing me to pay the least were actually a concern. When I asked about how close they were sailing to tax evasion and how comfortablly they were in side the line of Tax avoidance the answer was were on that line. Wasn't worth it for me personally I am risk averse and dont begrudge paying tax anyway so I went middle of the road and focussed on the fees they charged for the service. As it was they postponed the big push on IR35 due to CoVID and I went back to full time employment."

I bought an umbrella the other day. It was reasonably priced.

"Umbrella companies are thieving bastards, MPI Son. The company I worked for wouldn't take any contractors unless they used an umbrella company - which as you can imagine caused a whole host of issues."

Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"Umbrella came into sharp focus around and about 2019 Block when HMRC decided that encouraging people to have their own business wasn't good for their coffers, especially not for those who got regular long term employment for it. A means of defining whether you was or whether you weren't and the emphasis put on the organisations taking on the people to make the decision. if they got it wrong all parties would be penalised. Many large organisations the NHS was the first decided the risk and work that would go into the assessment wasnt worth it and just decreed all contractors were inside. I found myself in that position in 2020 and began talking to Umbrella companies and the numbers sounded too good to be true. I asked about the legality and how they got to them. The answers were sketchy as fuck. I fully expect Umbrella companies to come under much scrutiny once HMRC become bored with IR35 witch hunts."

"I find it hard to believe that anybody with half a brain would pay £6,000 per annum for something a semi decent accountant could arrange for less than £500 per annum"

"You can keep telling yourself you earn that amount of money son, if it helps you through the day. We all know you're full of shit, it's plain as day."

"Block 4:54 Thu Jun 10 Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !! Irons, we've caught you bang to rights with your fantasist bullshit son. Not sure why you feel the need to lie on a football forum, it's a bit weird to be honest. How exactly? I have told people that have asked about my work status. If you have prejudice against umbrella companies because they took you for a tax ride, that isn't my problem. I'm enjoying raking in thousands of pounds per month via the umbrella company I commissioned to run my tax affairs for me during my contract with the multinational organisation I'm consulting for. Now get back to arranging those deck chairs on Southend beach, son."

"Block really is an envious twat, isn't it. Beware the green-eyed monster Block. Maybe if you worked and studied hard, you wouldn't be a thicko, failed estate agent who now collects deckchairs on Southend beach. Wanker!"
Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
Didnt realise you could earn so much selling umbrellas
Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"Block 3:01 Thu Jun 10 What absolute bullshit. My umbrella company took 500 quid a month on a 700 GBP a day contract. Talking shite as usual. Stick to selling caravans or whatever it is you do since failing as an estate agent.,"

Re: Football Super league rumours yet again !!
"So COYI is a contractor, who earns £600 a day? Absolute nonsense, particularly if you're doing it via an umbrella company who will sting the arse out of you for tax. How do I know? I used to recruit using umbrella companies and they're cunts."
