"After the exit of Man U and Newcastle last night it leaves Arsenal, Mn City, Us, Liverpool, Brighton and Villa still in Europe. I'd like to think Villa could win the Conference and Liverpool definitely favourites for the Europa. As far as the champions league is concerned ?? I think it's too much for us this year but obviously would love to be proven wrong. Our boys seem to like it."

"Nagel First up.In order to contradict someone on this site you need the patience of Jobe. Anyway. Yes, you are right. He does contradict. But, in theory, you could contradict and not be right or correct in your contradicting. Westside is precise and leaves very little margin for interpretation in his language for what is always correct, often mathematically. He's done this pretty much the entire time I've been on this site. He's not looking for a fight, merely correcting errors."

"BRANDED, there's no ""nope"" about it. You do realise that if you correct what someone else has said then you are literally contradicting them? Anyway, this post that he quoted was from the day before and 20 posts earlier so it's no wonder that people get confused as to his meaning, which can end up in unnecessary arguments, as here."

Westside does this ALL the time. God knows why he can't use quotation marks. And given that pretty much every post he makes is to contradict what someone else has said then you'd think he'd learn how to do it.

The one thing Moyes does seem to do is get a result when he needs one. I think we will win the group

"Yep, Westside is correct, but he said this is a massive game thanks to us laying a fucking egg in Greece a few weeks ago, then goes on to contradict himself by saying we would still need a point tomorrow even if we had won (in Greece)?"

"Scrap that, didn't realise the Greeks were that far back. Was having a nosey at the other groups, Brighton, Rangers and Roma all need wins to win their respective groups, or will finish second, or in Rangers' case likely third."

"Well, this is a massive game thanks to us laying a fucking egg in Greece a few weeks ago. Even if we had won in Greece, we'd still need a point on Thursday, to be sure of topping the group. Assuming we hadn't won by a 10 goal margin, in Greece of course."

J.Riddle 1:19 Tue Dec 12 “Stick to the plan” “Send some crosses and corners into the mixer for big Tommy”. “Tommy you need to point out where everyone should be everytime players and the ball leave you for dead” Alvarez needs to be fit and despite some “rickett laden” performances I think there s a decent CB in the Greek fella. Might need another manager ( coaching ) or system of play / tactics but would persevere because for me Aguerd is becoming a liability aerially and positionally Hard to know how this will go . Hopefully we get some luck again as I think we might need it

"marty feldman 4:38 Mon Dec 11 ""As long as the players ignore what Moyes tells them to do we'll be fine "" It would appear that's what they did at Tottenham last week, in both post match interviews with Bowen & JWP when they were asked what did Moyes say to them at HT to make the difference, both sidestepped the question, Even Moyes didn't confirm when asked what he said to them at HT I very much doubt that we'll start on the front foot with a high tempo as that's not how Moyes sends his teams out, it will be all about containment and reacting to what the other team do, I expect another drab game with little atmosphere and we'll just about edge it Roll on June"

"If we score first I think it's all but in the bag, as in at least a draw. It would be a tall order for them to score two, plus we will defend if one up, and will also be able to catch them on the counter. Expect to see us coming out fast to get that lead."

"Moyes must tell the players the same every game home or away regardless of the opposition. No point watching predictable boring crap and the players he has bought in to play his 19th Century football are not good enough to pull it off. Attack from the off and see if we can get an early goal advantage. IF we get lucky defend the lead and try and nick another on the break, but remember you only need one goal to win a game IF you all get back behind the ball and keep a clean sheet. If you don't get a goal after first ten minutes revert to our well drilled defensive formation that we practice on all week. As said never lose sight of the fact keep a clean sheet and we can't lose still come away with a point. If they score first you will have to push up carefully and try and get back in the game without losing your defensive shape and conceding again because thats game over. Hopefully we will get that all important goal in the 90 mins, remember we've always got James deliveries the best set pieces for Tommy to hopefully get on the end off one. And don't start getting delusions of grandeur out there, we are not good enough for top six, stick to the plan."
