"Another great European game under the lights tonight and an instant response to the awful performance against Fulham last weekend and the crowd were up for it, more please for Sunday and we need to play our part by making more noise like the krauts did tonight"

"If we played with that panache that we had in the first half every week, I'd happily give Moyes a new deal. The fact is, we won't. But why? We probably have one of the most talented first eleven we've ever had. Some of the stuff was Harlem Globetrotter level, entertainment wise."

"As I predicted before the game we would come out firing looking to put the tie to bed. Mind you, Freiburg are fucking shit. Played some good stuff tonight, but still don't like Bowen through the middle, we miss his industry out wide."

"Job done, now can focus on domestic games until March by which time we should be well safe and have a good idea of if we can nab a European berth for next season, reckon we will be in with a shout of a Europa or Conference spot but not CL, so will see this comp as a priority and a berth in the CL next season by winning it. Good important result. We might be able to go further IF we get a striker in January. Never happen but my middle names deluded. I expect they'll be tired and bruised v Wolves after the battle those nasty Krauts dished out to our boys.

"Emerson, Alvarez, Paqueta, Prowse, Kudus and Bowen . Left winger and a dominant center half and we are top 6."

"Credit where credits due, we played well tonight and looked like a team who was trying to win the game and top the group. Was surprised at Freiburg, I thought they would offer more. In the end the game petered out in the last half hour but it was already job done by then."

"We can’t face Liverpool, Brighton, Rangers, Villarreal or Bayer Leverkusen until at least the Quarter Finals. Teams we could be drawn against in the last 16: AC Milan Sporting Lisbon Marseille Roma Benfica Galatasaray"

We saw a different side of Alvarez tonight. The assist for Kudus was top notch and his own goal was superb. I hope we see a bit more of that from him. It looked to me like he took a knock so I hope he's OK for the weekend. He's an essential part of the side.

"Well that was a lot better than I expected, we actually looked like we tried to win that one. Bowen and Kudus mustard. Where's that been all season? Who do we want in the next round? Looks difficult!"

Agree Moyes must have something against Kehrer and Cornet. He could easily have brought on Kehrer as a straight swap for Alvarez and see if he could be a back up in that role and likewise Cornet either out left or up front. Instead we got a very uncomfortable Danny Ings looking a fish out of water as a number 10! Maybe Moyes didn't like Kehrers singing on the open top bus after the conference win!

"Fair play- we were more positive than I expected us to be and actually played very well- far better than we've played in weeks, and we make them look shit. Why can't we play with that mindset and application every week, and impose ourselves on the opposition? Superb goals as well. Peach from Alvarez for the first one."

Job done in first half and we can now put Europe to bed until March which is good. I have mixed feelings about the Wolves game. On one hand I would like us to rotate and rest players and focus on the Liverpool game but on the other hand I think whatever team we have and however much we rest them for Liverpool we have absolutely no chance of winning that game so we might as well go full tilt against Wolves. Such a shit draw after beating Arsenal. They are virtually unbeatable at Anfield.

Called it! Even called the score line too. Another win for Moyes Boys! Wolves are weekend will be interesting. Personally I’d like to see some players rested for the Liverpool game. In Moyes we trust! Another couple of days without the usual neg heads stinking up the place! Onwards and Upwards! COYI’s!

"Good win and decent performance, got a bit scrappy after the subs. Shows how key Alvarez is. Thought referee was really good too."
