"As expected Rice is at least ''playing some part'' Moyes says he should be welcomed back with open arms and deserves to be cheered after being the first captain for over 50 years to lift a European trophy for West Ham (we know what you're doing there Moyes). Do fuck off, why not just say he should get a good reception, and leave it at that. Rice thinks you're a cսnt anyway."

According to the club report Marshall was absent injured. Just as as Two and I agreed on something. Ah well we tried .

twoleftfeet 10:15 Tue Oct 31 Agreed. But I'll be shocked if either do any better than coming off the bench for a few minutes towards the end when were a couple of goals down and the game's done.

"Anyone who hasn't seen Marshall playing from the left, watch the u21's highlights from Friday's 5-0 win against Middlesbrough. He puts in one sumptuous ball over to Kouda to strike against the Post. Marshall then follows up and some how despite a strong challenge scores. Watch it on the OS or Middlesbrough website (posted from high up in the stand, not great)"

"Two, Agreed; Front 3 of Marshall,Mubama,Kudus would offer a lot more than than we usually have. Have Alvarez and Paqueta with one other (Fornals next to Paqueta with Alvarez in Front of the back 4)"

If we played Marshall and Mubama tomorrow and we lost I'd accept it but if we play Ings and Fornals and lose then I might be unhappy.
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Arsenal - Official Match Thread - Preview
Marshall isn't involved tonight for the u21's. All other youth are. Pity they didn't use Ings. Will this mean Marshall gets more than just to keep Mubama warm ? Think Moyes is just trying pacify the fans. We'll see
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Arsenal - Official Match Thread - Preview
"goose - was going to say the same about Paqueta and Alvarez, both will almost certainly start. The EFL Trophy game at Newport tonight might mean that fewer U21 will be involved on Thursday than might otherwise have been the case. Arsenal are away at Newcastle on Saturday so I am sure they will ring the changes."
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Arsenal - Official Match Thread - Preview
the up coming suspensions might actually force Moyes to play a stronger side. good chance that Paqueta and Alvarez will start. i'm sure Fornals and Benrahma will be thrown in to this so their confidence can take a further beating. Mubama has to start which prob means that Ings will start. maybe Cornet might even get a run.

Arteta could field his C team and still beat the team Moyes will put out.

"I do admire the optimism from some despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary. We all know that whatever the score is at half time we will concede within 5 minutes of the restart. It's what Moyes does. Anyway, putting my best optimistic face on and ignoring the evidence we will definitely lose and when Rice scores he will do his best not to laugh."
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Arsenal - Official Match Thread - Preview
A lot depends on the Arsenal team. That said we did spoil their title party last season. If we go strong we have a chance. Nice to have a home cup tie at last .

Hammer fatigue has arrived early for me this term - I don't think I'll even bother wasting the energy switching the TV on and setting up a stream.

Forgot this was up next. Strange that a tough cup game looks more winnable than the Premier. I would so love to see us upset Rice with a win. The joys of dreaming...
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Arsenal - Official Match Thread - Preview
Arsenal will let us have more chances than Everton did. We just need to take them. Have a feeling might be a draw in 90 and then pens.
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Arsenal - Official Match Thread - Preview
I sensed a boring game on Sunday the crowd was the same bloody awful. They didn’t want to lose. Not looking forward to Wednesday either due to our history with this lot
Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Arsenal - Official Match Thread - Preview
We will see the messiah Soucek restored in midfield ahead of the Brentford game and he will show those Arsenal show ponies what proper football is about.
