They won 2 games out of 6.
The only 2 decent sides they played were France and Spain.
They set up not to lose, very David Moyes.

Only women's game I've gone to was the British Team during the Olympics at Wembley where I took my 3 younger nieces to see it with me beating Brazil 1-0. Fucking loved cheering on our girls as a family and it inspired 1 of them to take up Football herself. Anything British or English, I'll fully back regardless of what or who they are.

It's just been something to watch this summer while there is no premier league or major mens tournament, apart from the world club thingy. These last four games have been enjoyable to watch and I'm glad they won. It's probably been just a bit of fun and a holiday/ travel opportunity for those who went over there.
Theres no bandwagon. People read so much into everything, it's just entertainment. I do look out for west ham ladies results, I probably wouldn't pay too much attention to England women's world cup qualifiers or be bothered about the WSL if west ham aren't playing.

I will be watching the Ashes on the pay channel that shows it … Sky? BT?
Test cricket particularly Australia & England support themselves financially … and actually again the men’s game finances the women’s version
Was reading the other day that the Women’s NBA in America loses $50m a year
Another sport that needs fans (especially women) to get behind it & put their hands in their pocket

Will you continue to watch it? Yes? No issue
no? Bandwagon
At club level? No
At a major (national) tournament. Yes.
If they're English, I'll support them.

Loved it after the game when the winning penalty scorer Kelly unashamedly gushed about loving who she is when interviewed..

A load of people suddenly pretending to love women's football and then forgetting it instantly is pretty much the definition of a bandwagon. Anyone that continues to watch it or even a passing interest im fine with.
On a personal level, and as I've already mentioned, I'm well aware that the womens level is pretty poor in comparison to the men.
However, I also recognise the fact that they've been far more succesful than the mens team in recent years.
No bandwagon. Just the simple fact that as a nation we've actually managed to win something, as inconsequential as it may be to some. Let's be honest, we don't have too much to celebrate as a nation at the moment.

My issue with this, and it's the same every tournament, is that this is great... but how many people on the bandwagon will go and actually watch a women's league game next season?
I fucking hate band wagons. Not just this one
Not entirely sure a win for an English national team is 'jumping on a bandwagon' fella.
I fucking detest athletics and certainly would't stump up the readies to attend, but would still like to see an English athlete doing well in any games/meet.

I won't pretend I will. I admit I'm an England loving bandwagon slag.

It could be winning at tiddlyfuckingwinks and I'd jump all over it.

Because the game needs to generate its own money from tickets & sponsorship to grow into its own self supporting entity
Agreed
At the moment it is still financed by men’s football
Agreed
Lots of people saying how great it is but they need to make a financial commitment rather than just watching for free
I'm assuming, when the Ashes test highlights featuring the convicts are shown on terrestrial TV, you don't bother tuning in as you didn't purchase a ticket?

Fair play to them winning. But I’ve never seen a group of professional footballers that can’t place a ball! The penalties were just odd. I understand not having the power to blast it, but how can professional footballers not be able to put it in a corner? I don’t think any of them managed it. It was surreal.
Placement is probably the one thing where the sex of the player shouldn’t matter surely? What’s going on here?

What needs to happen now is everyone watching it on free to air tv needs to buy a season ticket for their local WSL team & go to games every week.
Really?
Why's that?

Good for them
The women’s game is certainly progressing & anything that gives girls & women role models and keeps them playing sport of any kind is a good thing

Of course the quality in the womens game isn't there but fucking hell, what Englishman
wouldn't want an English team to win a tournament, irrespective of gender?
Plenty it seems. Seems like this team is taking their manhood away
