Quite enjoying the Franchise. Richard E Grant is Hammer isn't he?
Day Of the Jackal featuring Eddie Redmayne kicked off yesterday so looking forward to watching that.

The Penguin - A good mini series no doubt, but does anyone else think it's tailed off a little? I find his mother an irritating character too.
Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
Get Shorty passed me by too - and after a bit of a Google I found this article on a few good shows that people seem to be totally unaware of their existence.

Justified - City Primeval
Not as good as the original, but perfectly OK and nice to see Raylan in the old stetson again.
IRL no way does the ugly, fat, black lawyer get to pull Timothy Olyphaunt, I suspect. Nursie will adjudicate, I'm sure.

Finished first series of Blue Lights - I started to struggle with it a bit and the hour long episodes. I get they are trying to make it feel 'real' grizzly Belfast, and all that, but ultimately the viewer wants to be entertained, it's just a bit too 'serious' and in some a little depressing. Line of Duty is way better.

Thanks for that recommendation Council. The Get Shorty series flew under my radar. Watching Season1 now.

Yep a good film that shows Vaughn's versatility bit like True Detective 2.
Manuel is a no nothing mong.
You still stalking me you ginger perv? And you really shouldn't call others mongs when you can't even figure out how to use the quotation segment correctly, lol.

Did read there is a 3rd series being made of Blue Lights.
Not sure I would have it as good as Line of duty but it would be close, thing I found with Blue Lights is that it gets better as each episode unravels, series 2 picks up where one left off but throws in another story line that unfolds as the episodes progress.

Started Blue Lights and yes it's good. Very raw. Would prefer shorter episodes though rather than a full hour and despite it being good I don't think it will match Line of Duty, fwiw.

It's one of those films where you sit and think 'I'm going to give this shit ten minutes' and then get really surprised at how good it is.
If you HAVE already seen it and thought it was for 'manchildren' I guess I'm guilty as charged.
Another one for you Chim, if you haven't already seen it.
Dragged Across Concrete, with both Vaughan and the director of BICB99, Craig Zahler. Also Mel Gibson.

Yes, that's the one. It reminded of the job players like Billy & Julian did for us, sorting out the opposition bullies
