We were close to getting Onana until his sister/agent wanted 30% on top of his salary for her
Presume Everton agreed to that
Didn’t think he was anything special
Villa have bought about 7 players I think but have sold Douglas Luis to Juve for £42m or thereabouts
Also think they are selling Diaby to Saudi for a decent fee

Villa have posted 4 big losses in a row and are under FFP investigation , they need to sort there books and still improve the squad or they are next .

Villa are having a clear out, not sure why as they finished 4th but seem to think that because they are in the CL they need better.

Anyone else find Onana for 50M a bit odd? I felt Everton robbed him from us and so watched him against us. Thought he was nothing special and was happy we got Alvarez instead.

Nothing happening really. Opening bids are “testing the water” and it is “boiling hot” with every club looking at £40million for any half decent player. We aint shopping in that aisle now Kilman is done.

This will be week 3 of inactivity after a promising start. We aint got European football which most quality players want and limited funds? Need some “pearls” to be uncovered ?

We ate still very good at selling players mind. No Ins but I bet Aguerd will be home in the next 2 weeks at less than we paid for him. Sullivan loves the cash flow coming in even if it represents a loss over the long term.

Downes and Aguerd, Benrahma, Kehrer and Fornals last Jan. What does that total in fees and wages? Only Kilman and the Brazilian kid recruited. Sullivan is a happy man as he’s in the “black” so far thus window

This is the LB from Atlanta I said we should take a long, hard look at end of last season. I saw most of his minutes in Atlanta and really believe he'll be a very solid premier league player in a year or two. lots of pace and strength, but above all very good vision and football intelligence which is unusual for an American. Gutted to see him going to Chelsea given their track record developing players and the fact they are cunts:

It'll take a supreme amount of shitness from Lopetegui to get this squad relegated, which I severely doubt will happen.

I think questioned can be asked if we've strengthened the squad much (as of now) but it's not really been weakened at all with the players that have left.

1. We will bring in at least two more good signings, possibly more, depending on outgoings.
2. Not only will we not be in a relegation battle, we will finish higher than last season.

Should easily be good enough to avoid the drop, especially without Europe, but we could easily be in the mix. Our squad was weak beyond 4 or 5 players last season. We also didn’t win a single game when Paqueta was out.

If Lopetegui is to play an attacking passing style we need to address the lack of creativity we have, otherwise our crap defence might get caught out more.

Plus no European football to think about.

We will still bring in a RB, LW and ST this window. Another CB if Aguerd leaves.

Don't think so LB. Usually we were told by a dithering Moyes how "difficult it is to sign players so hopefully they'll be one or two in by the end of the window"

This year it was mentioned shortly after Loppy's appointment, it is important due obviously to having a new manager and a lot of new players.

EXCL: West Ham have submitted initial proposal to Leeds United for Crysencio Summerville.

Talks took place also on player side, but still not close, considered very expensive.

AS Roma have also included Summerville in their list but only in case Soulé deal doesn’t happen.

Don't think we are in that bad shape.
He's a good manager that would keep us up even without anymore additions no doubt.
Just need to get a few of these deals that have been mooted for a few weeks over the line.
On a positive note we still have best part of 4 weeks to this before the season starts, you'd think he would want all his ducks in a row for Aug 10th Betway cup game though.
Maybe we are waiting for players unwanted to be sold before we spend, and also we don't know how many of the youth players might feature in the squad plus Irving. He is certainly having a good look at them, this could 3 or 4 more to the squad.
