A Poem a day - Enjoy I hope
BrainPAIN.
I am not going to sugar-coat this and lie,
The truth hurts, people do hang and die.
Sticks and Stones may break my bones,
BUT the pain is all in my head from when the
cold hearted bastards shot my friend Fred
dead.
I have no fear of joining him, no fear of dying,
I sit in darkness, shaking, trembling and
crying.
All I can hear is Fred gasping his last breathes,

He is whispering, fighting death, all I hear is
over and over – Down the eyes of a spear do
not fuck with an Infanteer.
Down the eye of a spear, do not fuck with an
Infanteer.

In peace there's nothing so becomes a man
As modest stillness and humility:
But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger;

War Dog.

In fields of honor, where courage stands,
Soldiers march with steadfast hands.
With hearts of valor, they face the night,
Guardians of freedom, bearers of light.

Through storms of chaos, they hold the line,
In darkest hours, their spirits shine.
Duty calls, and they answer true,
With skies of gray and skies of blue.

From distant lands to home’s embrace,
They fight for justice, they defend this place.
Each step a promise, each breath a vow,
To protect the freedoms we cherish now.

In silent vigil, through watchful eyes,
They see the world, they hear the cries.
With every heartbeat, they stand as one,
Until the battle’s course is done.

For love of country, they endure,
With strength of heart, their path is pure.
Through sacrifice, they keep us free,
Brave souls in service, our liberty.

Their duty binds them, heart and soul,
A sacred trust, a noble goal.
In every challenge, they persist,
For peace and freedom, they exist.

Re: A Poem a day - Enjoy I hope
When you meet the one
You tell her
She may so no
But she will glow
Maybe she is better
Maybe u can sweat her
Do you think about her
Do you wink about her
Do you tell your family and peeps
Does she haunt u in ur sleeps.
If this is so
U gotta go.
Don't let her go.
This is your lady
This is your baby
Tell her.
Be In her
That's the one.
That's the wife.
This is what we do
That is life

Mothers boy
In the quiet dawn, her love unfolds,
A story of warmth, forever told.
Her hands, a cradle, gentle and kind,
The touch of comfort we always find.

Through sleepless nights and endless days,
In her embrace, the world delays.
Her whispers soothe the wildest fears,
Her smile, a balm for sorrow’s tears.

She weaves her strength in threads unseen,
In every moment, in every dream.
Her laughter, a song of pure delight,
Guides us through both day and night.

With eyes that see beyond the mask,
She answers questions we dare not ask.
Her heart, a beacon, true and bright,
Leads us to paths of love and light.

In every challenge, she stands tall,
A guardian through life’s rise and fall.
Her wisdom, a compass, sure and wise,
Navigates under stormy skies.

Through all the seasons, near or far,
Her love remains, a guiding star.
In her embrace, we find our best,
A mother’s love, the sweetest rest.

For mothers, with their endless grace,
Hold the world in a warm embrace.
Their love, a gift, beyond compare,
In every heartbeat, everywhere.

World Cup Willie
had a ten foot willy,
and he showed it to the girl next door.
She thought it was a snake,
so she hit it with a rake
and now it's only four feet four.

Re: A Poem a day - Enjoy I hope
In the quiet dawn, as light gently breaks, A father's love for his child awakes. In every breath, in every sigh, His heart beats for that lullaby.Through endless nights and tiring days, His love shines in countless ways. With every step and every fall, He’s there to catch, to hold, to call. From first words spoken, to dreams yet spun, He sees the promise in his son. In daughter's laughter, pure and wild, He finds his spirit, ever beguiled. He shields from storms, he guides through strife, The compass in his child's life. With wisdom shared and lessons learned, In his embrace, the world is turned. Dedicated to the incredible man Pentonville. Has done more for me in one week than the Royal British Legion in 20 years. Re: A Poem a day - Enjoy I hope
Loyalty
In shadows cast by fleeting years,
Where friendships wane and lovers fade,
One torch burns bright, dispels our fears,
A constant light, by trust conveyed.

Through tempests fierce and trials steep,
When hopes are crushed and dreams fall still,
Loyalty, a bond we keep,
With steadfast hearts and iron will.

Not forged in ease, nor bought with gold,
But born of truth and shared resolve,
In whispered vows and stories told,
It binds our souls, our lives involve.

When darkness falls and all seems lost,
In loyalty, our anchor lies,
Unwavering through snow and frost,
A beacon 'neath the stormy skies.

For those who stand when others flee,
Whose faith endures, unscarred by time,
In loyalty, we find we're free,
A sacred trust, a bond sublime.

Robin Hood, Robin Hood,
Riding through the glen,
Robin Hood, Robin Hood,
With his band of men,
Feared by the bad, loved by the good,
Robin Hood! Robin Hood! Robin Hood!

He called the greatest archers
To a tavern on the green,
They vowed to help the people of the king,
They handled all the trouble
On the English country scene,
And still found plenty of time to sing.

Robin Hood, Robin Hood,
Riding through the glen,
Robin Hood, Robin Hood,
With his band of men,
Feared by the bad, loved by the good,
Robin Hood! Robin Hood! Robin Hood!

An ancient poem for gingers.

Out of the ash
I rise with my red hair
And I eat men like air.

Covers ressurection, power and defiance.

Happy Bank Holiday u die hards.

Cheer up

Smiling is infectious
You catch it like the flu
When someone smiled at me today
I started smiling too
I walked around the corner
And someone saw me grin
When he smiled I realised
I had passed it on to him
I thought about the smile
And then realised its worth
A single smile like mine
Could travel round the earth
So if you feel a smile begin
Don’t leave it undetected
Start an epidemic
And get the world infected

Re: A Poem a day - Enjoy I hope
raining pain.In the hush of dawn, the sky weeps gray,
A symphony of sorrow, a world in dismay.
Each droplet a whisper, each whisper a tear,
Echoes of heartache, shadows of fear.

The rain falls gentle, like a lover's touch,
Yet beneath its caress, the pain is too much.
It mingles with memories, both bitter and sweet,
As it pools in the places where dreams and loss meet.

The rhythm of rain, a melancholic tune,
Under the somber sky, the world is in swoon.
Every drop a reminder, of joys long gone,
Of battles once fought, and the wounds they've drawn.

Yet in the pain, there's a cleansing release,
A solace in sorrow, a moment of peace.
The tears of the heavens wash over the earth,
Renewing, transforming, giving new birth.

For in the rain's embrace, there's a promise of light,
A dawn after darkness, an end to the night.
Pain, though it lingers, will ebb with the tide,
And the rain, like all sorrow, will one day subside.
2024
So let the sky weep, let the heavens cry,
For in each tear shed, there's a reason why.
In the dance of the raindrops, in their gentle refrain,
We find in the rain, the healing of pain.

Under London’s grey and storied sky,
Where the River Thames flows quietly by,
There lies a club with iron and grit,
West Ham United, in hearts they sit.

From Boleyn Ground to the London Stadium,
Echoes of chants create a grand coliseum,
Claret and blue, colors so true,
Forged in the hearts of the faithful crew.

Bobby Moore's legacy, a captain’s pride,
A heritage that won't subside,
From the terraces, songs fill the air,
With passion and loyalty beyond compare.

The Irons' spirit, never to bend,
In victories and defeats, they transcend,
For in the heart of East London's frame,
West Ham United stands, proud in name.

Through the ups and downs, they rally and fight,
Under floodlit nights and daylight bright,
With dreams of glory, and tales untold,
West Ham United, forever bold.

Re: A Poem a day - Enjoy I hope
It approaches in the dark and tests me,
seeing if I am ready to succumb,
sends me flashes of cold fear and nightmares
Tempting me to despair.
It asks me: What is there left to live for? Only Trouble and decay!

It comes when I am at my weakest.
filled with doubt and trembling
But it never overcomes me, and it NEVER will!

Life is Mine, my possession and my treasure!
It has already delivered thousands of gifts to me and it has promised me a thousand joys to come, just around the next corner.

Beautiful surprises, feelings, loves, serendipities and much, much more.

So I will look to the light, chin up and smiling and I will soldier on.

Anon.

Re: A Poem a day - Enjoy I hope
Live from Chelsea and Westminster hospital.
This is how it started my dreams were broken hearted. Out of sight , out of mind , so the story
goes. You forgot I exist My broken heart knows. So you claimed that you just go with the flow
But when you ran with another man that was my biggest blow. I would forget if i could , But
my heart is blind. Time after time I loved you by being kind. You were the woman I wanted. I
loved you. When we used to stand together in the nightclubs in the dark corners, All the boys
getting jealous because you was standing with me. All the girls were so damn jealous when i
laughed and smiled with you. We used to laugh so hard I remember every moment When you
used to get so close and stare alot looking so deeply onto my eyes and getting so damn close
to the point I can not move and forgetting all about people , forgetting all about pain , the long
long walks come sunshine or rain. I used to give you that look - we are not alone here and you
could know I could see the jealousy eye around thee. But yeah I should have ignored them all
Because All I wanted was you standing in front of me.

So, where is the fun? Where is the gain?
All I've got now is trouble and pain.
They said it won't last.
The problems will pass,
But, months and months later...no change.

But what can I do?
Just reach out to you?
You're not the reason for this.
I'm sure there's a cure
Quite prob'ly obscure
To help me get out of this pit

But you might have guessed
With the wisdom you're blessed
My life at the moment
Is really quite shit.

I'm not giving up, the prize is to great
I look at you lot in a much better state,
So speak to me softly, and speak to me low,
But please can you speak in words that I know?

I hope that one day I can throw of this curse
And with those ten or so words I now end this verse.

Strength.

Togetherness.

Irons.

Through barren streets, he wanders on,
A phantom figure, dusk 'til dawn.
His silhouette against the sky,
A haunting presence, passing by.

His steps are slow, his breath is still,
Yet in his eyes, a restless will.
No mortal coil binds his soul,
Through timeless depths, he takes his stroll.

No destination, no return,
Just endless paths, forever churned.
A walking ghost, a silent scream,
In twilight's grasp, he roams, unseen.
