Player ‘very close’ to leaving West Ham – Negotiations nearing completion

By Naveen Ullal

West Ham United goalkeeper Nathan Trott spent the past two seasons out on loan at Danish side Vejle Boldklub.

The Hammers have already exercised an option to extend his deal until 2026. On May 22nd, the Danish press stated West Ham plan to sell him in the summer window.

Later that month, Bold.dk explained that FC Copenhagen, Brøndby and AGF will battle it out for the West Ham stopper’s signature.

Copenhagen are set to win the race to sign the player. That’s according to Tipsbladet, who say they are ‘very close’ to securing his services as their negotiations with the Hammers are close to being completed.

There’s been claims in the UK that a deal would be sealed for 17.5m kroner [£1.98m], but the Danish outlet claims the operation is set to be concluded for 15m kroner [£1.7m].

Copenhagen’s negotiations with West Ham are said to have been positive, and this gives them confidence to get this deal over the line.

Trott joined West Ham’s academy in 2016 and will leave the London club after making only one appearance for their first team.
