About Lucas Paquetá: the player comes to Rio de Janeiro on vacation before returning to West Ham. Flamengo always knew about the enormous difficulty, but decided to try because the athlete said he would be willing to return at this time.

The situation has since been handled by Marcos Braz. Spindel did not address this issue in England. He went to hear the official offer for Wesley and also heard what the market is like there for other Flamengo athletes, especially young ones.

Some English colleagues said that West Ham's sporting director will come to Rio to talk to Paquetá and find out more about how he is doing.

West Ham agree Chinaza Nwosu deal after fending off Man City

West Ham have agreed terms on a professional contract with 16-year-old Chinaza Nwosu, sources have told Football Insider.

Nowsu has agreed to stay at West Ham despite interest from top clubs in the Premier League and will put pen to paper on the deal as soon as he turns 17 next year.

Man United, Man City and Tottenham had all been in contact with the midfielder’s camp over a potential move away from the London Stadium.

This comes after Football Insider first revealed on 4 July that the Hammers were fighting hard to keep hold of their academy sensation.
West Ham agree professional contract with Chinaza Nwosu

Nwosu is regarded as one of the brightest prospects to come out of the West Ham academy in recent years and has been playing up the age groups for the academy side.

He featured 12 times for the Hammers’ under-18s last season and was named on the bench in their FA Youth Cup third-round clash.

The 16-year-old has also represented England at under-15 and under-16 levels.

FA regulations state that he can’t sign a professional contract until he turns 17, but having pre-agreed to the deal with West Ham, he will sign it on his birthday.

Tying Nwosu down to a professional deal is a statement of intent and direction from the Hammers, fending off some of the country’s top clubs in the process.

The arrival of Julen Lopetegui this summer has marked a change of direction at the London Stadium, with this deal indicating a clear pathway for academy players into the first team.
