West Ham Face Summerville Stalemate

West Ham United‘s pursuit of Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville has hit a potential stumbling block, with the two clubs unable to agree on a transfer fee.

The Hammers have identified the 22-year-old as a key target to bolster their attacking options, but Leeds are demanding a significant fee of around £35 million for the Dutch winger.

West Ham have responded with a bid of £20 million plus add-ons, but this offer has been rejected by the Yorkshire club. With other clubs, including Newcastle United and Fulham, also expressing interest in Summerville, the Hammers face a challenging task to secure his signature.

The Hammers’ interest in Leeds star was made public by Fabrizio Romano this week, he suggested that initial talks have taken place between the two clubs, however, West Ham believed the deal would likely be too expensive.

The Hammers are now considering their options, with the potential of walking away from the deal if Leeds refuse to lower their valuation

West Ham fail with move for Welsh star as Nottingham Forest fend off interest

HITC understands that West Ham United have failed with a bid for Nottingham Forest’s Neco Williams.

West Ham are looking at a number of options to bolster their squad under new manager Julen Lopetegui and right-back is one of their priority positions to fill.

The Hammers have held talks with Southampton over Kyle Walker-Peters and Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka – but they have other targets they have been looking at.

West Ham made bid for Nottingham Forest’s Neco Williams

HITC can reveal that one of the names they bid for earlier this summer was Neco Williams.

The 23-year-old Welsh international was seen as a ideal fit for Lopetegui’s system and it is understood a ‘player plus cash’ offer was made, but Forest dismissed the offer with the insistence that they are not looking to let Williams leave this summer.

Williams, who just joined Unique Sports Group, has two-years left on his current deal at the City Ground and despite the West Ham bid being rejected, a host of clubs are looking at his situation.
Interest emerging from Europe in Welsh star

We understand the former Liverpool star has attracted the attention of Italian giants AC Milan amongst and German champions Bayer Leverkusen.

There is also rival interest in the Premier League aside from West Ham with Manchester United, Newcastle and Tottenham amongst the teams keep tabs on his situation.

Williams’s ability to play both right and left is believed to be a major appeal, but Forest are insistent they have no intention of letting him leave the City Ground this summer.
