For some reason Steve Daley sticks in my mind.
Man City paid £1.4m for him from Wolves in 1979 when that was a LOT of money and he was diabolical
Sold to SEATTLE SOUNDERS less than 2 years later for £300k (not quite so much of a LOT of money)

Timmy,thanks for that,I'll give it a listen.I remember that Cyril was beset with bad luck.His son was killed in a freak card accident when a brick went through the windscreen and hit him.
He died very early of a heart attack, Iirc

Peter Knowles who gave up his very promising career to become a Jehovahs Witness - he was a really good striker and Cyril Knowles brother...I was taken to a game at Molineux by a distant uncle and he was playing..must have been 1969 ish

Steve Kindon. He scored a brace against us in a 2-all draw and looked unplayable.
Steve Bull was also quite good in his day and scored quite often against us.
