Re: Pakistan v England Test series

I can absolutely guarantee you that if we moved Root to 3 and Pope to 4, we'd get slightly less out of Root, and exactly the same incompetence out of Pope.

Re: Pakistan v England Test series

You do not move your best player (by an absolute distance) from the position he feels most comfortable. Root bats 4, everything else has to be built around him. The side I suggested earlier, maybe swap the positions of Brook & Smith, is currently the best team that can consistently be put out. Y...

Re: Pakistan v England Test series

Pope has been a problem for a long time, you can't have a number 3 that is an occasional feast, but mostly famine. I know he'd never batted 3 before, but I don't think it'd matter where he batted, he has very, very rarely ever looked 'in' to me, never been convinced regardless of where he's batted. ...

Re: Paqueta

That might be true, but that opens them up for a hell of a counter case in the event of lack of evidence, surely? He’s not just going to accept his career and potential earnings being ended on circumstantial evidence, much like the club aren’t going to accept an asset being liquidised without hard ...

Re: Paqueta

"How can him being a multi millionaire not be relevant to him committing a crime worth a few grand?" It is so monumentally thick to suggest that, that it's a struggle to even reply to you. You really can't seem to grasp the difference between a court of law, and the court of arbitration, j...

Re: Paqueta

If they have evidence if can’t be at “smoking gun” level otherwise they would have presented it to Paquetas team by now and they would be looking at settling somehow.  apparently they just need “balance of probability” level evidence but I think that the fact it was a few grand and he’s a multi mil...

Re: Lopetegui

Exactly, A point a game is relegation battle form. I wouldn’t mind if we had been unlucky but our football quality has been crap, and the red flag is the amount of early tactical substitutions Lopetegui has already made. I think we've actually been very lucky to get 5 points, we've only played well...

Re: West Ham United vs Chelsea | EPL | 21.9.24 | Match Thread

What debate do you want with that, 'Lopetegui fan here' son? Let's have it right, there was a very very slight pull, but he dived. That aside, we got absolutely fucking walloped in that game, and we've been shit all season. One dubious penalty decision not given means the square root of fuck all.

Not sure where you're getting that from. I'm just saying, by her actions, they're two peas from the same pod and her latest bit of virtue signalling attention seeking doesn't change that. The most worrying thing about it all, is that not one of our attackers has looked even half decent. It will never fully take off if it's 11-a-side played on full size pitches, with the teams being under the same name as the mens, i.e. West Ham ladies. That is the brutal truth. You are not going to sell a product that is the 'same' as a product that has existed for as long as it has, and been as su...

The bloke looks absolutely lost, as he stands on the sidelines. That's the bit that's concerning me. He gives off the impression he is absolutely baffled by what's going on, as someone else said on here, he looks shellshocked by all. And it's hard to get a gauge of where he might be at in interview...

Rug - The fella answered your question and you just predictably take it apart without even acknowledging any of it even reasonably, like you just set him up for a fall and he took the bait.  There are some good and bad in our performances.    What good have you seen in our performances? A willingness to try and pass the ball more and quicker, more possession and more shots on goal. More players comfortable on the ball and willing to commit a player. No we are not a slick passing, domi...

Re: Lopetegui

I can't say that particularly impresses me, just like the ranting and raving on the sidelines, big shrug of the shoulders. What would impress me, is if we can resemble something approaching a competent team. Be that defensively, attacking, our passing, whatever. Just something, anything, to get behi...
