The wife and I are going through Buffy again during dinner time (on Prime) Generally a great written show and a bit of fun. Some of it maybe nostalgia from my glory days when I first watched it but I think it holds up generally (though I like the first three season more than the rest)

"Joe C 9:56 Sun Jul 28 Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls Binge watched The Boys on Amazon this weekend, is really good and highly recommended. I finished this last night, thought it was brilliant, not to keen on the ending but obviously just leaving it open for another season. That scene with the Dolphin is one of the best things i've ever seen on TV, had me in stitches."

"Anyone watching seven seconds? On Netflix and is basically a rework of The Shield with the background of "" a gang banger getting killed by the Popo "" Some decent performances ( main actor was the preacher In ozark ) its a little right-on and BLM positive for me however im about half way through and think in the end everyone will be shown to be a cսnt apart from the kid who died ;-) Recommended."

Yes. I’ve watched the first 2 episodes of the second series and it hasn’t disappointed. You need to concentrate to watch it or you’ll miss something important.

I've been recommending Dark for ages. The best thing on Netflix. Two points: 1. It is nothing like Stranger Things. It is much better. 2. Watch it in the original language with subtitles. It is well worth doing this.

"Grumps My take on BB - FWIW, probably says more about me. While it was undeniably well directed, filmed and acted, I just couldn't develop any empathy for any of the characters. I found them all without any redeeming features. I just feel that without any connection - I just couldn't maintain my interest in any of them. As I say, that's just my view. Usual disclaimers."

"Every programme you ever watch will have its critics or fans. For me, I thought BB was massively average and I struggle to understand why anyone other than a drug addict would have it in their top 5.o Started promisingly but then had a few seasons where fuck all happened, but then i loved the end. The marmite saying was made for the show."

"I think Breaking Bad was probably one of the first series for all this binge watching series we have now, yeah some of the episodes have some padding but there are some superb characters. As people have rightly said Mike and Gus and of course Saul which have crossed into the series Better Call Saul, which is also superb."

"I recently binged the whole of BB, was good and some episodes better than others but I wouldn’t say it was the best. And most definitely agree with the earlier poster re: the fly episode."
