"Anyway, not only is Moyes bereft of any idea, he has absolutely no loyalty to the club - I'd say it's about time we changed that, right?"

Re: Moyes Out
"Stubbo 10:34 'I'd personally look to Nolan as caretaker' I think I'd probably agree with this appointment. We're fucked if we do, fucked if we don't at the moment. I doubt his (alleged) falling-out with the jockster at Brighton was anything other than tactics. He may have been little more than a passenger in his final year when playing for us, but I do think he has a genuine affection for us, and also GETS what the fans expect. However... 'with Warburton as assistant.' Not too sure about this if I'm honest mate. As you say.. 'Warburton is an unknown quantity to the squad, has no West Ham ties, and has seemingly offered nothing of value since arriving.' Think I'd pair Nolan, with Noble as his assistant. At the moment we've fuck all to lose giving it a punt."
Re: Moyes Out
"I'm not ALWAYS looking for that, but a 12 match appointment doesn't allow for any 'getting to know you' time. Gotta hit the ground running, immediately understand the ethos of the place, have the fans onside etc. It's a very unique set of circumstances. In terms of realistic targets I'd like Bielsa...his focus on youth, energy, and attacking verve is exactly what we need as a club and his approach of always having a go is a perfect fit for the club's identity."
Re: Moyes Out
"I'd personally look to Nolan as caretaker, with Warburton as assistant. Nolan is a good man manager, has been around the squad for 3 years.amd the club for longer, is close to Noble, and would be good at galvanising them in the short term (plus has had managerial roles in the past). Warburton is an unknown quantity to the squad, has no West Ham ties, and has seemingly offered nothing of value since arriving. Frankly if we're appointing from within, Nolan deserves it more."

Re: Moyes Out
Carrick's goalscoring sensation up there is from Canning Town too. Maybe he could bring him home when he comes.

"Don't get me wrong: I like Noble. He's a good lad and genuinely committed to the club, as we all know. I just have no idea what he's like, coaching-wise. He's definitely somebody players would listen to. I'm beginning to come round to the idea, though""¶anything to get rid of the life-sucking attack vacuum."

"On the other hand, he's likely looking at Carrick at Middlesborough an thinking ""I can do that a lot better at West Ham""."

Re: Moyes Out
"Funny enough, that's partly why he doesn't want it. If it goes well, he has a job for 18 months - like all managers - and then he's getting dogs abuse and getting sacked. Or it goes badly and he struggles for credibility and going back to his current job (a bit like shearer I suppose). He's never wanted to be manager - or part of the managerial merry go round - the job he has is the one he wants, at the club he wants, and it's a big job in terms of repairing the structure of tge club. Despite all of that, I'm convinced he would take it if we really needed him to. IMHO of course"

Re: Moyes Out
"Griff - you're right in the sense that Noble would be somebody the players listened to. It's a three-month gig to keep us up: I'd take him if he did that! ED - I hear you. Few can plumb the depths like Sulli! I'll be blunt, though: there's also a bit of a legal issue with Pards/West Ham. Genuinely can't say more than that. But it would be a potential distraction."

Re: Moyes Out
He left in May. He returned in January. He's been in and around the dressing room once on a matchday. We won 4-0. One might venture it would be a good idea to have him around a little more.

Re: Moyes Out
Seen some poor West Ham teams over the years but I don't think I've ever seen a side so poor in possession of the ball.

Re: Moyes Out
The players just don't like this cunts formations and deliberate lack of time on the ball. If Noble was so key he'd be back in the dressing room on match days as he hasn't fucking left AND he knows and gets on with most the under performers due to the cսnt tactics they are asked to play.

Re: Moyes Out
"Southbank, we all know the limitations of Pardew. You're really not getting this, are you? The owner has put his criteria out there. Prem experience is absolute must, not in a job, willing to take a short term contract. The pool is fucking minute. Unless you can come up with a name, you're not really saying anything. Pardew would be in the bottom 5 of 1000 managers I'd want at West Ham. The problem is, Sullivan will only want one of those bottom 5."

Re: Moyes Out
"Let's get it straight Warburton would definitely be the caretaker manager - he has extensive experience and all the coaching badges. Noble would just be there to motivate the players and put a smile on their faces after the boredom, depression and stupor the current manager has condemned them to."

Re: Moyes Out
Sbbb Moyes hasn't become useless overnight. Almost certainly spent the better part of two years having noble do his job for him. He'd be perfect for what we need. The only problem is he doesn't want it either... that and sullivan wouldn't entertain it
Re: Moyes Out
"You can just hear Sullivan at the end of the season coming out with all the excuses: ""What could I do? No one wanted to come to us. Moyes was who if have wanted to hire in that position. He did great before then. I love the club. It's going to cost me now to try and get us back up. No one could have seen it happening. We backed the manager. I'll need to get back involved in transfers now and take some control back. We need an experienced man to lead us. Welcome....Alex McLeish. He knows the league""."

Re: Moyes Out
"I'm not so sure about Noble coming in to coach. Does he have a coaching badge? He's certainly never coached a day in his life - at that level. Inspirational figure, sure. And West Ham through and through. But is he the man to turn around a struggling, expensive bunch of players worn down by a stubborn and cantankerous one-trick pony? I'd want at least some experience. Somebody who walks through the door not just with fresh ideas and a new approach - though that is crucial - but also knowing that what they say and do has worked before now. The players will more likely respond to that, too."
Re: Moyes Out
I think it is true zico. Unfortunately it seems that Sullivan has first option on Gold's shares at the price DK paid. DK has 2nd option. DK has first option on DS shares at same price as he bought his 25%. The worry is that if DK has decided he will pass on the option until he knows what league we will be in. It's fine the Gold family holding £160m of shares but what will they be worth in the championship?
Re: Moyes Out
"Just read this, not sure if true or not. The Gold family intend to retain the shares of the late David Gold, with both his daughters Jacqueline and Vanessa sitting on the board along with Jacqueline's husband Dan Cunningham also playing a key role. Cunningham is a huge West Ham fan..."
